Told you I'g go back in a heartbeat........
Just booked 15 x nights in a 2 x bed for August.
Only 14 x weeks to go........
Here's a couple more pic's - sorry they are all in the dark but it was the only time I had to actually take a look around - these were on the first morning - I tend to wake up really early on the first day due to the jet lag so I left the family in bed and went for a walk. We were only here for 5 x nights at Christmas - hope to spend a lot more time in the resort this year though.
I would never have thought about staying at SSR because we are not into Horse racing and thought the Theme wouldn't be for us but after looking at all the photos it looks like a wonderful Resort. Maybe someday we will give it a try.
I just wanted to add my pics from our trip down in March (there are quite a few). DVC is our home resort, and this was our first stay. I'm so glad it's our home. We had a Studio in the Springs which was a great location!!
We are staying at Treehouse Villas in September. Does anyone know how far of a walk it is to SS? Do you still feel like you are a part of SS when in the Villas or does it have a completely seperate feeling?
Wow! Amazing photos! Thanks so much for posting. Problem is, now I miss my home! Our last stay was in Nov 2008 - Grand Villa (which was AWESOME!). We stayed at BCV in Feb. and will stay at AKV in Nov. My kids made me promise that "after that, we can go back to Saratoga Springs right!?!?!" Answer: YES! I am looking forward to trying something new...but I do love our SSR and look forward to coming home again!!
Everyone's got their favorites for different reasons. Some like to be by the main pool/building for access to that...so go with Springs section. Some like uber quiet and the first bus stop...so go with Grandstand section. Some like close walking access to Downtown Disney...so go with Congress Park section. I don't usually hear of any special request reasons to get the Springs or Paddock sections - not that there's anything wrong with them...Paddock's 65-68 building is a good backup choice if you like Congress Park for the Downtown Disney access but couldn't get in.
My personal favorite is Congress Park, building 1. It's the closest for walking to Downtown Disney/Marketplace...and I like walking over to the bus stop at Marketplace and grabbing busses to other resorts.
