Another AP and DDE question

A total before discount amount of $300 is break even.

Yes, and that's the issue for me as a primarily solo traveler. I don't eat $300 worth of TS meals in a trip, and I rarely drink. When I take my kids & grandkids next May, we'll definitely be getting the DDE card!

even though there are a few big eaters, 3 out of 4 of us, in my family, i prefer the DDE to the DDP. as for myself personally it seems that there is too much work involved with the DDP to maximize its value. with the DDE i know exactly what my savings are going to be. i usually recoup the initial fee with the first TS meal we get. we eat what we want, where we want mostly. my wife and myself can enjoy adult beverages and still get the 20% discount off the entire bill. this is the best deal for us.
