annual pass question

just purchased A/P's.

have an ecertificate in my inbox. Does it expire 1 year from today date or when I get the passes on the 18th of this month.

If I purchase one a/p now for use in jan does it take effect in Jan?

Your pass will expire 1 year from the date that you turn the certificate in from your actual pass.

1- One year from when you convert it to an actual AP at a Disney Guest Relations window.

2- You can hold onto the certificate as long as you want to before you finally convert it to an active AP, which will then be good for a year following.
