Our server was Steve. He was unprofessional both in his demeanor and in the manner he cleared dishes. There was just something that rubbed us both wrong about him.
Artisanal Cheese - Last cheese plate of the trip. From left to right, the cheeses are Gruyere, Brie, Humboldt Fog, Petit Agour, and Blue Cheese. This was very good. I loved the Humboldt Fog, Blue Cheese and Brie. Best cheese plate of the trip.
Maine Lobster and Sweet Corn Bisque - This was Sashafarce's appetizer. She thought the soup was very good (but not as good as the Cheddar soup at Le Cellier).
For entrees, we both ordered the Lobster and Filet. We both really enjoyed our entrees. The steaks were well cooked and seasoned and the lobsters were cooked perfectly (not rubbery). In comparison to all the filets I had this weekend (5 if you're not keeping count), this was the best cut of meat. We both thought our sides were ok but nothing outstanding.
Mine rare with the potatoes gratin (side that normally comes with the lobster).
Sashafarce's well done with Boniato Mashed Potatoes (the standard side).
Baked Chocolate Mousse - This was my dessert and it was just too rich. I took a few bites and that was enough. If you are a chocolate lover however, I would recommend this dessert.
Almond Cheesecake - Sashafarce thought the almond coating was really good but the cheesecake itself was average.
As you can see in the background of both dessert pictures, we also had a mini two tier wedding cake for our anniversary. This cake was very moist and the buttercream was good. We forgot to take a picture.
Overall, we really liked Narcoossee but due to several factors we would probably not repeat anytime soon. First, we both liked Le Cellier more and it is easier to get to since right in the park. Second, we have tried very few signatures so we want to try others. Lastly, we were both a little turned off by the service and this may have colored our likelihood of returning.
So that's it until December. In December we have, as of now, the following reservations: Crown and Pub, Sanaa, Kouzzina, 'Ohana, Grand Floridian Cafe, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and Be Our Guest.
Finally, to everyone who read along, thank you.
