I'm happy to find this forum! I'm about to start on my journey of planning a Disneyland Wedding!

Our engagement was in the Dream Suite! (long time dream of mine to even just visit)
and then dinner to celebrate at Club 33, yum.

I hope to plan for next year, in Oct. (huge fan of the fall).

Wish me luck?

Congratulations, and best wishes!!!

We had our first meeting today via phone. All our questions were answered and we submitted a date for approval for a in park reception! I'm not a huge fan of having to wait 4-6 weeks for the approval of the date but ::finger crossed:: and please send good vibes!
At this time, I've never had this many lists running around in my mind.. Engagement party, wedding planning to dos and guest lists and etc. Intense!!!!!
Hopefully when we finally get the date and the contract... I can feel a bit more secure about everything!
My fiancé is excited and that makes me the most happy.

What are your preliminary plans? We're all dying to know!!

I guess I should make a planning journal or something but here are the rough plans..

I'm a california girl and I'm doing this disneyland style. I know most of you are walt disney world brides but I can't deny the love I have for the park I grew up with.

back to the basic summary of ideas:
ceremony: we haven't decided yet ..either grand californian or disneyland hotel
cocktail hour: DCA's hollywood blvd or Hyperion Theater by Tower of Terror
reception: Animation building with a tower of terror ride on.

Be sure to join the Disneyland Brides Facebook group! We have a couple brides with the same venues and I'm sure they would be happy to answer any questions.

Congrats!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

The day you posted this (10/26), my fiance popped the question on Main Street in Disney World! When we went to GR, we were asked when the date was :lmao:
It's now the 9th, and we still don't know anything. :confused3 We both had talked about a WDW wedding, but it's looking more and more unfeasible :sad1: His family is just too gosh darn big!

I never thought about a DL wedding. But now that you put that in my head, that sounds pretty amazing (I've never been!)

Can't wait to read your planning journal :)
