All Good Things Must Come to an End

July 1 - 4

My family had been in Tifton, Ga for the week prior to these 3 days. We are school teachers during the school year and travel over the summer doing VBSs. Here's a picture of what we do.

Tifton, Ga is only 3 hours away from Disney World so of course we couldn't resist going there for our last 3 days of our annual pass. We left at about 2am. This time we were staying on property - at All Star Movies. :cool1:
We were wanting to take advantage of the extra magic hours. We arrived at ASM at 8; we were going to have to go fast to make it for rope drop. We checked in and they had our room ready - wow!! John ran some of our luggage that needed to stay cool up to our room while Abigail and I waited in line for the bus. Normally I don't take Disney transportation, but I think it's definitely worth it when going to the Magic Kingdom since they drop you off real close. We were there just a little after rope drop; found out the line is crazy long when you get there right at opening.

We went on the Mine Train first and then Space Mountain. We then went to stand in line to meet Gaston, one of our favorites. He is so funny. While I was standing in line to save our spots John and Abigail ran to get a snack and get this picture -

And then we met the myth, the man, the legend -

I think he is the funniest character in all of Disney. The girls we met next hold a close 2nd to him -

At this point we are ready for a nap and anxious to see our room so we head out. Up next our room at the All Star Movies.

We stayed in the Woody section of All Star Movies, 3rd floor really close to the elevator. I grabbed some quick pictures before too much of our stuff got thrown down.

After unpacking we took a nap. Abigail and I woke up earlier than John so we went to do her favorite thing - swimming. We grabbed this picture on the way.

We went to Epcot that evening. I actually had to schedule 2 days of our 3 at Epcot for fast passes sake. Today I got a fast pass for soaring. I got a fast pass for Frozen Ever After for our last day. When we got to Epcot it was pouring down rain big time. Most people were huddled under Space Ship Earth or other ares to stay dry. We ran for it. We had time before our fast pass for Soaring was open so we went to the Chase spot and got a picture with some of our favorite characters. It was so cute when we got there cause they were playing hide and seek. You can tell from the picture how wet we were.

Afterwards it was the moment we had been waiting for for months - the new Soaring Around the World. It was amazing!! Afterwards we ate at Seasons - one of my favorites cause they have so many choices and it's air conditioned! We then rode Living with the Land. We decided to call it a night since we were so tired from waking up so early that morning. We took these on the way out -

July 2

We were at Animal Kingdom by rope drop so we could ride one of our favorites - Expedition Everest. We rode it twice without any wait practically.

We then rode Dinosaur -

We took our mid-day break pretty early cause we didn't have that much we wanted to do at Animal Kingdom but plenty we wanted to do at Hollywood Studios. We went to meet Kilo Ren first thing when we got to Hollywood Studios. He is so scary to meet. I told him that he ought to be ashamed of himself though for killing his father.

We took those beads that are around my daughters neck and traded them with an Jawa. Abigail got a little part to build a droid. Later on she decided she would rather have her necklaces so she actually traded back. Glad I wasn't around when she did that.

Afterwards we went over to the Toy Story building and meet Buzz and Woody.

We were getting hungry for supper and I was craving some good onion rings. We didn't have reservations for Sci-Fi but we went to see if there seats at the picnic table in the back was opened. It was. I don't think they make reservations for those tables so there's always a good chance they are opened in my experience.

John got the Reuben which he loved. Abigail got the kids burger, and I got the build your own Angus Chuck Burger, mainly cause it came with the onion rings. The food and service was awesome!

Sadly our last day of our season pass has come. We wanted to go out with a bang and make the best day ever. We succeeded - it was an awesome day! We started with rope drop at Epcot. I loved riding Soaring Around the World the other day and really wanted to do it again so we started with that. We were hoping that with the draw of Frozen Ever After (the newest ride) and Soaring that the line for Text Track wouldn't be that bad. It was the worse line we stood in all day - think we waited about an hour.

This might sound crazy, but we went to Sum of all Thrills next. This is something that we hadn't done yet and my goal was to do everything we hadn't gotten to do yet. It's a 2 person ride so John and Abigail did it while I rested up and watched. We got a photo on the way out - our goal is to hit all 4 parks and get a picture at each one.

We went to IHOP and ate lunch. We were feeling pretty good and we saw that the wait for Expedition Everest wasn't too long so we went to Animal Kingdom next.

On our way out we got another picture with a cm photo bombing. :)

After this we headed back to Epcot to use our fast pass for Frozen Ever After. It had just opened recently so we knew the line for it would be llloooonmnnnggg. We still had to wait a while. It was worth the wait though - very cute ride.

Abigail grabbed supper at Epcot - she's been wanting a Perry lunch box. John and I got some fast food on the way back
to All Star Movies. We changed and get a quick nap. We then headed to Hollywood Studios and stayed there until closing (10:00 I think).

We rode Toy Story Mania several times and Tower of Terror one last time. As we are leaving the park we are seeing the Star Wars fireworks. So we've been to 3 parks and rode 6 major rides - super good day so far. We still have the Magic Kingdom to go to though and it's open until 3am.

When we got to the Magic Kingdom Main Street was so crowded that they were directing people to the backstage entrance. Our first stop was Laugh floor. That was one of our favorite things to do this year. My DH was unfortunately never picked to be "that guy" but they did pick my DD to be the kid to help him tell the jokes. 20160703_231210 (3).jpg

We next rode on the PeopleMover. I just love that ride - so relaxing and great views.

We then walked along that back pathway to Fantasyland. I love that walk cause it's always so open. We ended up getting a couple of pictures here - and our one showing the number 4, 5 parks in one day!! I got to make up for not getting our picture taken in front of Cinderella's carriage on New Year's Eve. This one was better any way cause John wasn't with us on New Year's Eve.

We then went over to the ice cream place to get a special 4th of July dessert!

We then went to ride the Winnie the Pooh ride -

We are enjoying our last night at Magic Kingdom. We're going to get to stay at the Magic Kingdom for extra magic hours, until either 2 or 3 am (I can't remember which.) We went to ride on the Haunted Mansion one last time. It was surprising how long the line was. They were not checking to make sure you were staying on property so I'm sure there were many off site guests.

After this we went to ride Splash Mountain. Unfortunately it wasn't opened for extra magic hours. We went instead to ride Thunder Mountain Railroad - they were checking magic bands at the entrance there fortunately. It was still a pretty long line though.
20160704_014922 (3).jpg
We then rode Magic Carpets of Aladdin a couple of times. 20160704_022345 (4).jpg
After this we headed to 7 Dwarfs Mine Train - we got in line right before closing and rode it one last time. We lost our pictures of us on this ride and a picture of Abigail and I in front of the castle with Main Street in the background and one more picture of us with the castle in the background. By the time we got back to ASM it was super late. We slept in real late the next day. We went to the Polynesian that night where we were gong to watch the fireworks from. It started to rain so we rode on the monorail to the ticket and transportation center to try watching from there. It was a real good view but super crowded. We left the next day to head back home.

I love Disney - what a year!! Maybe we'll do it again some day. But for now - good bye Disney.
