Adding a couple days to the beginning of our trip?

Right now we have a trip planned to stay onsite starting Monday 8/17/15 with 8 day tickets on our package. If we were able to come into town 2 days early and stay offsite with friends, could I change our 8 day tickets to 10 day tickets and go to the parks on 8/15 and 8/16, then check into our resort on the morning of the 17th? Thanks?

You can pick up your WDW Resort Package tickets up to 3 days before your resort check-in.

To do this, go to any Guest Relations outside any theme park or at TTC or at DTD.
Have your resort info and photo ID with you and tell the CM that you want to pick up your tickets early.

You can call now and add "extra days" to your current package tickets, or wait until you are at WDW and upgrade the tickets after you have picked them up.

Note that if you call and ask the phone CM about picking up / using your tickets early, they will tell you it isn't possible. That is the standard answer they are instructed to give. However, as Robo stated, you *can* do it as he described.

On another thread, a DISer reported after complaining to Disney about not being able to schedule FPs for her park days prior to her package start date, Disney allowed her to schedule FPs by phone.

So, if you call ahead of time to add on those extra days, keep calling so that you will also be able to schedule in FPs for the park days that will be before your package begins.
