Activities on the ships?

I'm one of those folks who love the activities on cruise ships - dance classes, trivia contests, etc. I'll be a solo traveler on Disney if I decide to go that route, and I'd love to peruse the activities that Disney offers to see if there's enough to keep this woman in her mid-50's occupied!

I haven't decided on a ship or length of cruise or ports yet, so any info on any ship is welcome!

Thanks.

Yes! Take a look at some of the posted navigators at the top most part of this page on the disney cruise line forum. I can tell you there is bingo, towel animal folding classes, napkin folding, wine tastings, movies on board, the theatrical performance shows every night, shows in the night clubs, spa treatments, pirate show and fireworks, pools etc...... you will have a blast!!!!

Another 50 something here. We cruised a different line this summer. Frankly, there were A LOT more activities on Disney. The activities on the other line were largely oriented around their casino; since this didn't interest us, there was relatively little else on the schedule.

On DCL, you are welcome to participate in anything listed as "adults" or "family." The family activities do not mean that you need to have a child to participate, it means that all ages are welcome. The activities scheduled will depend on the length of your cruise. They may include "tastings"--wine, martini, tequila, etc., classes--cooking, napkin folding, dancing, etc., demonstrations of things like ice carving, tours of the ship (no, not the bridge), fitness classes or time on your own in the gym, trivia games, team competitions (go on your own and you'll be put in a team for things like Wheel, Feud, etc.) And there are a lot of things I didn't list!

I think you will find more activities than you have time to do honestly! At least, that's been my experience. There are all kinds of great things to do: cooking classes (free food & recipes!), animations classes (learn to draw Disney characters!), towel folding (amaze & astound your stateroom host & leave an animal for them to find!), Art of the These Ship Tour (learn about how they brought Disney into every aspect of the ship), movies, stage shows, adult entertainment in the bars at night, game shows, trivia contests, water activities, fitness classes/exercise by walking around the deck, spa treatments, liquor tastings, art exhibits/auctions, swimming/water activities, Midship Detective Agency (Dream/Fantasy only), character interactions, captains reception, etc, etc. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
