The only thing that will continue to eat away at our civil liberties are PC'ers and activist judges who make up law from the bench and rely on FORIEGN law and world ideas such as that wonderful Supreme court justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Oh and she just happened to have run the ACLU. Flame away and forgive any spelling errors. Useful idiots is an applicable phrase here.

Ummm...many of our laws ARE based on ideas from "FOREIGN" laws...including the Magna Carte and old European laws. To get the spirit of those laws, it makes sense to look at their origins and how similar laws are applied throughout the world. Law is not something "new" that magically appeared in 1776.

Ain't it great how the debate board sneaks right back in to these threads? Ha Ha administrators, they snuck it right by ya'. Oops, I let the cat out of the bag. Uhh , no, no administrators and monitors, no debates going on here....... :rolleyes1

Our laws come from the Constitution which is here and now. The Constitution was based on many documents...then. The Constitution is the final word in this country now. Using the current "enlightened sensibilities" of the French or Germans, or Belgians or the Spanish based on their current systems(which flucuate from century to century based on immoral societies) is ludacris. The Constitution is clear about everything and if it's not there is an amendment process, and states rights; not the disaster that is Europe's enlightenment right now. Our Constitution will not flap about like Chirac's mouth.

This entire thread is irrelevent. As a private company disney can do what they want. If you don't like it don't go but they are not breaking any laws or violating the constitution in any way.

The only relevancy is whether the company is safeguarding the private information they have commensurate with the reasonable expectations of the industry. In the absence of any evidence that they're not especially negligent in that regard, there's no issue here. I'm sure the ACLU will continue to push the issue as long as it helps the union garner contributions, though.

Nice chatting with y'all. :wave2:

This first belonged on the Rumors & News board.

Then it got to the point where it needed to be moved to the debate board.

But woops - we don't have one of those anymore.

As such - I'd ask you to seek out a message board where debating pro and con ACLU is the norm. That's not the case here.
