Accomodation for family of 5?

Hi,
Would anyone have any suggestions for a suite or apartment (etc) for a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 smaller people aged 10,3,7). We have found some suites that offer a room with bunks for the kids but there is only 1 set & the youngest wouldn't want to miss out. Some even incl breakfast! Any help would be great,

Here are the onsite options as far as I know, not in any particular order, at WDW in Florida:

- two hopefully connecting rooms at a value.
- family suite at All Star Music
- family suite at Art of Animation (more expensive than ASM)
- Murphy Bed room at Port Orleans Riverside or one of the other mods--- someone help me, I think it's Caribbean Beach????
- cabin at Fort Wilderness
- any of the deluxes that sleep 5: Contemporary (Garden Wing is cheapest), Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk

As you can see from my signature, we've had great luck with the deluxes. They're not suites, but the locations and amenities can't be beat!

Which Disney park are you visiting, and what would your budget be per night?

If it's Disneyland (Anaheim) for really good value there is the Anaheim Desert Inn & Suites, they have two room suites with two bathrooms, right across the street from the entrance.

There are plenty of other options too, when are you visiting?

Hi,
Apologies I should of mentioned that we were hoping to stay close to or in Anaheim, (am told Disney transport is great) have found a BnB that would suit but apparently the council are closing BNB's in residential areas. There was a great suite in Garden Grove but not the best option financially. MightLooking to travel October 2017. Cheers

For Anaheim, there are a number of hotels just opposite Disneyland gates on South Harbour Blvd that could take a family of 5. You just have to work out if they have suites. I think one if not both of the Best Westerns might and Fairfield Inn. I think Camelot definitely has suites, as does Castle Inn. I have tended to stay at the Residence Inn Maingate and I know they have 2-bedroom suites, plus hot buffet breakfast. But the RIM is a bit of a longer walk to DLR compared to the others on SHB. It'll just come down to price and where you want to stay.

It's so easy to stay very close to Disneyland, that I personally wouldn't even consider staying further out. There is something for everyone from budget to higher end options, including very decent and clean motels, mid range hotels, and 4 star hotels (the Disney hotels).

I stayed at the Park Vue Inn in January, and am staying at the Desert Inn in September, these are directly across the street, and I loved being so close!

Motels very close to the entrance:

We are a family of six and like the Camelot Inn & Suites, they have a family suite which has plenty of space. Also I've heard good things from families with 3 or 4 kids about the Desert Inn & Suites. Both are only a five minute walk to the front gates.

We enjoyed Homewood suites near the convention centre. Large rooms, our had a kitchen and breakfast included. We walked to Disneyland of a morning, it was a bit of a walk but we all enjoyed it and caught the shuttle to the toy storey parking lot of an evening and the hotel is just next door to it. They have a small evening meal available on selected nights of the week that is also included. We only had this once as it started and finished to early for us. If you had been at the park all day or were doing something else and could get back in time this could be a huge saving for your family. You could supplement this with something you make in your room if it was not enough or you could have a late lunch at Disneyland and have this after or you could have this before you went out for night time entertainment at the parks.

Desert Inn & Suites was reasonable and very close. There's really no need to stay further out. The ART is not that great - I'd much rather be within walking distance and not have to rely on shuttles.

We also stayed in one of the condos off Walnut in the area behind Disneyland. It was fantastic for a larger group, but just that bit further away, and slightly less convenient not being near any amenities like 7-11 or anything. If you want a full kitchen and laundry though, and proper bedrooms and multiple bathrooms, it's definitely the way to go!

We have stayed twice at the Del Sol Inn. It's right across the road from the Disney entrance.
Last time we were 5 people and had a family room. It's not fancy but they do include light breakfast.
The rooms have both times been a good size and clean and a great price and the parking as pretty cheap for the car.
We are the kind of people who don't spend much time in the room, pretty much sleep and shower but being so close to the park it was easy to duck back if we needed to.
