A MUCH needed trip...April 15-23, 2008...LOTS of pictures!! **UPDATED 7/27**

Nice pics! And I can't wait to go in One Man's Dream. The kids never have any interest. :confused3 Reason #456 for a solo trip.

Muppet Vision is really cool, takes me back to my youth when The Muppet Show was on at night!

Sounds like you are having a lovely day! Hope MIL is happy with the room!!!!

That shirt is too funny! My dh would definitely want to buy this if he saw it.

Your Minnie turned out great. I think we'll have to stay and try a drawing when we are there next month. The kids will love it.

Can't wait to see your BCV room and hear more about your trip.

Cute Minnie, Beautiful flowers.

I love palm trees too. I grew up in Florida, but live in New England now. When I visit FL and leave the airport, I see the palm trees and that's when I know I am home.:goodvibes

I have never been through One Man's Dream. Always low on the list because the kids say not interested and their is not enough time for everything, but maybe next trip.

OK, so I typed in the words on the shirt into a translator website to see what it meant, and this is what it gave me back: Please it mantengase remote of the doors

So I am assuming it is saying something about staying clear of the doors.

Is this close?!?!!?

Your Minnie drawing turned out really good. :thumbsup2 Can't wait to see the BCV room pictures.

Thanks!

The drawing was really fun. I highly recommend, especially if you think your kids will like it! :)

Yeah, I don't think I would have been interested in One Man's Dream as a kid either. More of an adult thing!

Yes, I assume it means "Please stand clear of the doors!"

Hey! I have that shirt!! I love it. Saw it on the Disboards about 2 months ago and I called Disney and ordered right away!!

My kids are so embarrassed by it:rotfl2: We have alot of Migrant Mexicans around here...what they must be thinking when they read that!!

Anyway - lovin' your trip report!!! I love Muppets. I've never seen the chef at the end - how odd!!

DH was thinking about getting the shirt. :goodvibes We have a monorail magnet that when you push the button it says that phrase in english and spanish! I found it in a gift shop a few years ago.

The drawing is so much fun. You should definitely try it!

Loved your drawings, great job!

The t-shirt is hilarious!

Thank for reading! :rotfl:

So, after our walk back from MGM, we headed into the BCV to check out our new room! DH is very worried that his Mom wouldn't like the location. I think it's OK, but we'll see :) The 2 bedroom suite looked great! There's something about a hotel room, right when you get there, everything is so neat, perfect and clean, no clutter. Love it! Here are some pictures...

When we checked in, I asked twice to make sure there was a crib (not a pack-and-play, an actual crib) and a highchair in the room. The high chair was there, but no crib. I called down, and they brought one up about 15 minutes later, along with our luggage. DH and I wanted to make sure everything was all set when his family got there, so they wouldn't have to deal with it all!

In the mean time, my sister called to say they were here! I was so excited! They were all checked in at the French Quarter and they were already heading down to their pool. I took our rental car and drove over to see them.

DH stayed back at our room and did laundry, and then walked down to the Crew's Cup Lounge in the Yacht Club and got a rum rummer. He was waiting on his family to arrive, they should be there in an hour or two!

When I got to the French Quarter, the kids (my niece and nephew) had already gone down the slide a bunch of times :goodvibes Kids just LOVE the pool don't they?! I sat with my Sis and BIL (brother-in-law) and we had a couple drinks from the Muddy Rivers Pool Bar. I had some sort of Pink Lemonade and vodka drink. It was DELICIOUS! :) We stayed at the pool for about an hour or so, and then went back to their room so the kids could change for dinner. We decided the Riverside Mills food court would be good.

Some pictures from our walk back to the room:

On our way over to the food court, we stopped at the front desk to see if we could get ADR's for tomorrow night at Planet Hollywood in DTD. I didn't think we would have a chance, but there was one available at 4:30!! We'll take it!! :cool1: We headed to the food court, it wasn't too crowded, but it took a pretty long time to get our food. Again, very slow service, some of the CM's were moving at a snails pace! :sad2: But we weren't in any rush, so I didn't mind too much. My BIL and I decided on chicken quesadillas, my Sis got a taco salad and the kids got pizza. We all liked our food a lot! I was very impressed. Sorry, no food porn here. I forgot, oops! :headache:

After dinner, we all decided to go back to the BCV and take a walk around the boardwalk. It was getting a bit chilly out at this point! I didn't have a sweatshirt with me, so I was pretty cold by the end of the night. When we arrived, DH joined us, meeting us out near the BC pool. His family had arrived by now, so they were getting settled in and a couple of them were going to head to Winn Dixie for some food for the week! Turns out my MIL loved the location of the room and all was good! :woohoo:

Me, my Sis and my Niece:

We headed past the Yacht Club, over the bridge, to the Boardwalk. It was pretty crowded and there was a lot going on! We walked past a man getting ready to start a magic show and stepped up to get a front row view. DH took video, but I'm sorry I don't have any pics! He was really good with the kids and was doing all kinds of funny tricks. My Niece got picked to help him out with one trick, she did well! The kids looked like they were having a lot of fun! We then headed past the ESPN club and back around to the BC. There was a free movie playing on the beach, tonight's movie was Chicken Little. It was almost over, but the kids found a chair and watched the rest while we stood around and chatted for awhile. When the movie ended, my Sis decided to head back to their place.

DH and I walked back up to our room. Shortly after we arrived back, his mom and brother got back from Winn Dixie. The bell man in the lobby said he would bring the groceries right up. Yeah, riiigghhht... An hour past and still no groceries! My MIL went down the the lobby, and there were our groceries, sitting outside on a bell cart, right where they left them! Geeeez!!! She was so upset, she just took the whole cart back to the room. After unloading the groceries, we put the cart in the hallway and called down to tell them to come get it. I couldn't believe they just left them there! :confused3

We all headed to bed by 11pm. I was exhausted and so was DH.

:tink: Up next...for me, pool with my Sis, while DH went to Epcot with his fam. Also, DTD for some shopping and eats at Planet Hollywood!

BeeBopp - You love 2 out of 3 things that I love...Disney and Vegas! As for country music...hmmm...I wouldn't say I love it, but it's growing on me. And really, who doesn't love Kenny Rogers - The Gambler?? :goodvibes

Thanks for sharing your trip! It's been great so far - can't wait for more! :thumbsup2

Yay! I just found your trip report, and I'm really enjoying it so far!! :thumbsup2

What gorgeous wedding photos! :)

And also, I love that Old Navy top with the flamingo on it! I wish we had Old Navy in Australia, but nope! :sad2:

Can't wait to read the rest of your trippie!

Great update, the room is so pretty! I love the pictures of the kids, you can tell they really were having a great time.

Enjoying your trip report! I am so jealous that you are there alone with your dh, I never got to do that before I had kids! I guess I will wait until they are all grown up to have a solo trip with dh.

Great pics! That room is beautiful! Glad MIL was happy! A happy MIL is always a good thing! :thumbsup2

I loved POFQ too, it is really so quaint and pretty!

Allyson :)
