$67 a night for Castle Inn & Suites Nov 15-17!

We have stayed at the Castle Inn several times this year. We got to watch the entire renovation in all of its phases. I could post pics, but I can tell you more than they will show you. Let me start with NEW BEDS & appliances, microwave & fridge in every room, new patches & paint, and I believe new carpets and wallpaper. The floors are still uneven, but thats more of a structural problem. We kind of get a kick out of it. Housekeeping leaves something to be desired, but the rest of the staff are continuously friendly and helpful. We just love the Castle Inn. We set out to try a different hotel each month, but the Castle was just consistently good, and so they became our go-to place of residence while we're at Disneyland. Did I mention free & easy parking?

Wow! looks great!! sadly for us (me) it's a bit too far of a walk now, if they had a shuttle that would be perfect!!
Just curious, with LMT....the hotels that just say 3 star hotel Anaheim Disneyland area, is there any way to tell ahead of time which hotel you are getting?

There is. Do your search on LMT. When you find the hotel you want click on the "Book It" link. Look for hotelId= in the URL. Take the numbers that follow and put them in place of the numbers in this link:

http://www.touricoholidays.com/en/PageHotelDetail.aspx?hotelId=5256&provider=localTgsProvider

Example:

URL to book 4 star hotel in Anaheim:
https://www.lastminutetravel.com/secure/PageTravelerInformation.aspx?hotelId=7266&SelectedProductID=7266%3b4323%3b8032&provider=localTgsProvider&searchgroup=2&isForAmend=False&osId=89c17bff-f7ec-4f3c-a66d-ae1f6b03b21d&_dc=1384285379347&isAvailable=false&id=0

New URL:
http://www.touricoholidays.com/en/PageHotelDetail.aspx?hotelId=7266&provider=localTgsProvider

Reveals it's the Hilton Anaheim.

Wow, that does look much better! But I'm still leery because of our experience with the staff. I don't mean housekeeping, I mean front desk, they screamed at my daughter on the phone, refused to send up more towels (they gave us 4 towels for a room with 6 people booked), refused to provide more blankets, were rude when we asked for anything.

 thankyou so much for that!! I could not tell just by looking at the pictures which hotel was which, this is perfect!

I was able to cancel the $67/night and switch to the club price of $58 - $14 saved on an already cheap rate. [FWIW, there seems to be a $6 mystery charge on the club rate. The non-club rate charged a straight 17%. The club rate charged an add'l $6 above 17%. Still worth the switch but not sure what the charge is as there's no detail on the reservation.] The photos MadMim posted look just like the room we enjoyed in Oct. All of the employees we dealt with were very friendly and polite, so perhaps they've revamped their customer service as well as the rooms! I have avoided Castle Inn on our trips for the last 7 years because of its scrungy reputation, but they really are fine now. I consider the rooms on par with BW Anaheim Inn, but cleaner - and much cheaper!

I noticed the Tripadvisor reviews since the remodel was completed have been a lot better than before.

We're still trying to make up on our minds where to stay. Since we bought AP's we're probably flying this time around since our Disney tix are already covered.

How slow was the WiFi at night? It's one thing that might be a deal breaker because I always have to bring my work with me.

I didn't use the wifi last trip but I'm sure I will this trip. I will come back here to update.
