5/5/2013 "Cinco de Mayo 2013 Cruisers Party on the Dream!"

Hi there. My name is Chris (will be 40) and my husband, Rich (will be 42), will be sailing with me. We will be in room 12508, a category V in concierge. I haven't even sailed my first cruise yet (a Fantasy cruise this August with my husband and 4 kids) but I decided to book a short concierge trip with my husband so we can enjoy are family trip with the kids and not worrying about missing this or that. I was originally gonna go in February, then changed it to May 12th, then after realizing May 12th was Mothers Day chose this date. I'm gonna stick with this cruise, I swear. :rotfl2:

I'm not sure whether a FE is feasible for someone in Concierge, is it possible?

I haven't been on the boards in a long time, but great to see our group has expanded significantly....it is definitely shaping up to be a rockin' Cinco de Mayo! :goodvibes

This will be the 3rd cruise for DH :happytv: and I :surfweb: - our first Disney cruise though...and first ever cruise for our DD & SIL , DGD6 :yay: and DGD1 :cutie:! When DH & I sailed out of Port Canaveral in February, we saw Disney Dream and Magic in port and knew we just had to let our DGD6 (she's 5 now, will be 6 when we sail) experience a Disney cruise! She was so excited about our cruise that she actually watched the Webcam and saw us waving at her as we sailed away - yep, she's already hooked on cruising! LOL DGD1 is only 2 weeks old now :lovestruc, so we will be celebrating her 1st birthday on the cruise.

We have 2 cabins, #6168 & #6170. Glad we have a meet list going already, sure does help to have others as excited about our cruise as we are!

Welcome aboard! :)

Booked and ready to go. We'll be in 5022 with me, DW, and DGS. Also, will be traveling with friends who will be bringing a family of seven, who will be, we think in 5018 and 5020. This will be the first Disney cruise for all of them, but it will be our sixth. We'll officially become GOLD! DW is already looking at platinum...lol. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Looks like you guys are the seasoned veterans. Hoping we like cruising as much as you do! :)

We are also booked on the Dream for our first Cruise ever.

Welcome! Are you by chance celebrating your 40th on this cruise? I will be turning 40 on the cruise as well. We will have to have a drink together! ;)

Hopefully you will still be able to participate in FE in Concierge. I am sure it has come up before...someone should know. Hopefully there is a place to drop off stuff for you with the concierge staff.

Thats cool cant wait we may pass each other.

The reason we picked the room number is because my grandmother should be able to remember the number as its part of my moms birthday day--10/09 and I hope it works :):):):)

Hey fellow Dream Vacationers, If anyone is celebrating a Birthday or special occasion please let me know so that I may make you something special for the FE. It would help if I had the age and gender. Thanks

No details but I will be cruising with 8 special needs guys on this cruise , so there will be 8 special needs guys and 2 escorts myself and my friend Carole

Is it bad that I've already started on my FE and FE gifts?! :woohoo:

Can veteran DCL/FE folks shed a little light on a few things?

- who normally organizes the groups? what happens if there isn't an organizer?
- how far in advance would the group be "closed" so we'll know how many FE gifts to bring?

Can't wait to get to know some of our fellow cruise-mates!

You are not the only one that has started. Me and my Mom have been buying little things for awhile now to put in our bags we are going to give away. :cool1:

I have no idea how all of this is supposed to work. I volunteered myself to make and update a master list for our cruise, but I don't know how far in advance of the sail date we should 'close' it. I know there is probably many more people that haven't gone cruise-crazy like us yet :lmao:

And yes, I've already started on FE things too...

Count me in!!! :goodvibes Just booked yesterday I didnt even tell my DH yet ;) This will be my 1st cruise on the Dream and my 1st cruise gold Looking forward to chatting with everyone

Still 250 more days to go, but I've already made a packing list for everyone in the family, started rough drafts for my Disney Diva blog, and I have a ton of ideas for FE gifts! I have to keep reminding myself that xmas comes first, and I should really work on that stuff first, but I'm sooo excited....... :yay:

What is everyone looking forward to the most? I think mine would be no alarm clocks!
