Greetings from Castaway Cay!(I'll keep posting the day after, much easier :) ) We just docked and everything looks happy here.

Ok, for our day at Nassau we went up to the deck 9 buffet again to watch us pull in. The weather is perfect, the docking went smooth, and disembarking off the ship was very straightforward. They've moved the taxi pickup area to a permanent taxi queue in front of the Tourist Center. No cars at all on the docks now. Docked next to us was a unique sight; the Carnival absolutely no-smoking ship. So much so, they have a huge no-smoking symbol on the stern. Our plan for the day was to go explore Atlantis on our own. Extremely painless. After walking over and getting a taxi it is a very short ride right to the door of the resort. I recommend it over the ferry.

Atlantis is a place beyond what we imagined! This is a full-tilt resort unto itself. I'd say at least Disney quality in themeing and entertainment. First we wanted to find out about access to the Dig. It is very easy. You need to go to the middle of the casino and look for the temple of the moon. It is a booth with a large art-deco blue and white sphere over it. A pass to let you walk thru the dig and the rest of the resort except for the pools is $25 per person. More than worth it! The dig, which is mainly aquariums is very sprawling and if you follow thru you get a good tour of the resort itself. There is something different to see around every corner. It does have a full waterpark including a number of different waterslides from a kiddie one all the way to the extreme thru the temple and shark tank one you've seen in the ads. And a lazy river, and too many pools to mention. The resort decor is simply overwhelming. The themeing is equal or perhaps even a bit superior to anything I have seen out of a Disney resort. The next time we come here with my parents, we will definitely be booking a room for the day to take advantage of the resort. After a good amount of hiking around(wear good walking shoes!!), window shopping, and a bit of slot machines, we returned to the Wonder for the onboard lunch and to just chill for awhile. Dinner this night was in Animator's Pallette. The show on the Wonder is superior to what we've seen on the Magic in the past. The difference in how the paintings on the wall colorize is more than noticeable. Plus there seemed to be a lot more color effects than we've seen before. Dinner was very good, and we did actually get to meet our dining partners for the cruise. They hadn't shown up yesterday as they didn't get their luggage till after dinner and were worried about not showing up dressed up. If only they knew :) They are a very pleasant couple from Madison, not too far from us geographically. We originally were going to go to the 10 pm deck party but when we found out how early were were docking at Castaway Cay, we thought better of it and decided to make it an early night for be more refreshed for today, which we are, and are about to go get in line to hit the island! Yay! Until tomorrow.
