4th day at DLR w/MHP or Universal??

Our family DH, DS (9), DD (6), and I are having our first big vacation ever to Disneyland this October.

We are buying a City Pass which comes w/3 day hopper and Universal. We will have Tues 15th-Fri 19th in Anaheim.

Originally it was simple 3 day hopper 1 day Universal............Now we are considering doing MHP on the Friday.

Now I need help with these options (or open to other ideas)

1.Is it realistic to do Universal, drive back and still enjoy MHP?
2.Should we skip Universal use the 3 day hopper and add the Friday MHP?
3.Is a 3 day hopper enough of DLR and DCA, so skip MHP and just head to Universal on our last day?

I guess another question is what is the sellout risk of the MHP for Fri Oct 19th. If it doesn’t typically sell out, we could wing it and decide if we need more time in DLR or if we are ready to check out Universal.

1. It can be done, but remember LA traffic especially the area that surrounds Universal can get crazy, you will need to leave early and beat the 3p traffic!

2. I guess it depends on how much you want to go to MHP, vs. how much you would enjoy Universal Studios. For us, I would bypass Universal to go to the MHP.

3. It seems a decent amount of time. With the Cars Land the lines could suck up a lot of your day...
