Wow, what a busy first day at DCA coming on the heels of your flight!!! Some really great pictures! I have heard a lot about CarsLand and World of Color. Looks like they both live up to all the hype!!! And how great that you got to slide in to a great viewing spot just before the show. I've heard the crowds can be really crazy at times if you don't prepare ahead to make it in early.

So many changes since I was there in 1996 (like adding a whole new park). I can't wait for another trip to enjoy all the new stuff........and all the old stuff too!

Sorry to hear again about your experience at Goofy's Kitchen! Especially disappointing for a big Goofy fan like me! But so glad they did you all right by taking care of your bill!!!

ETA: Just read all of the news. So sorry about Goofy's Kitchen. It was nice of them to refund the entire bill; but, I know you would much preferred to have it paid for it and received better service. Everybody looks so happy! I am glad.

once the characters did get to our table they were great! I was happy they refunded the $$ too, wasn't right, knowing how great Goofy's can be it was disappointing!

Yeah!!! You started. What a great start to your TR. I can't believe all the details you took at Carsland. I really slacked on the picture part. I still can't believe it only took you 2 hours to get to Disney from Seattle.. Yet took us 3 1/2 hours..which should of only taken 90 min. So upset we missed most of the day. At least Kylee's green light pass made up so they at least got on 2 rides

Kylee's best friend Sami's mom name is Kara. The other 2 CM was Jeff and Nancy. They were the ones that got Kylee the Pluto pillow Pet. Here's a family group with Goofy.. Oh.. Thank you for getting our money back. Really..we would of never known the service..minus the drinks and lack of getting our dirty plates

since Robbie was your "personal photographer" you didn't have to worry about taking photos, sure his are much better than mine since he's got a fancy camera!
sorry you got stuck in the traffic, we made up for it though in the long run!

our whole trip was busy, but it was worth all the fun and memories...though my feel weren't happy with it
they are both definately worth the wait in line...was a great perk getting into WofC without waiting in line! you actually need to get a FP for WofC or a dining package.
hope you can visit DLR soon!
Goofy's was disappointing, just happy it was resolved and Goofy himself was fun!

Wow what a full first day! I must ask did you walk over from your hotel? Is it within walking distance? Someone was asking about that hotel the other day and I had no clue.


This isn't the first bad review I've read recently about Goofy's Kitchen. I have to wonder if it is under new management.

Hi Michele...yes its in walking distance, we can make it in about 10-15 minutes and have always had great service there! its very clean and comfy beds!
that might be the problem at Goofys, we decided to cancel our ressie for our next trip there!

it was nothing compared to our Sunday (update coming up) my photos really don't do Carsland justice, its is so we did have fun at dinner inspite of the service! Kris made our shirts, they turned out really cute!

Sunday 3/3 part 1

I woke up early Sunday morning, as usual, got up and ready for the day, woke Megan up, she got ready and we were out the door by 730am! we made it through the gates at 745 and were ready to go (having my AP we got in early that day at DLR)

in the first 90 minutes we did the following - and walked onto each ride

first up - Space mountain (photo on photopass)

next Buzz

we did pretty good - my best score yet at 181,200 and Megan got 27,600!
(photo coming later for that too!)

then a stroll over to Fantasyland and rode a fun little guy

then over for a daring journey

we then took a dizzing ride through wonderland

we then headed to ride everyone's "favorite" cruise of the world

up next we headed over to meet some pirates

we were meeting up with Kris and the gang about 915, I texted her that we would meet them in front of great moments with Mr. Lincoln...found a bench and we had a quick snack (breakfast bars) and took some photos of the pretty spring flowers

and saw a few characters as they came out to visit..these two are definately NOT morning people

these were a bit more entertaining

Kris texted that they were coming through the gates...up next we were heading to a special event....preview of the new Fantasy Faire!!!!

day 2 - part 4


Robbie and Heidi had won tickets for the preview and we were so grateful to be included! was a pretty little village, they have a small store, visiting area for three princesses, stage to watch the show and a small snack area, love that feels like you are in a true fairytale village

savannah wasn't too happy with meeting Cinderella

we tried to get Steven to kiss Cinderella's hand, but this was as far as he would go

after our royal visit we met another little princess at the store

then got some yummy treats from here

didn't take photos - I know bad DISer...we had the "twists" yummy twisted pastry with either chocolate, strawberries or chesse & garlic and along with the signature drink - eek can't remember the name, but like the drink at Gaston's in WDW apple/boyenberry juice with marshmello foam...it was pretty sweet, but good!

the show! we got to see Rapunzel and Flynn! they also have Belle's story which we will see on Megan's bday trip

its was pretty slapstick, but all the characters did a great job and the two male CM's played many different parts

the roll of Rapunzel's hair!

and they lived happily ever after


will post the rest of our Sunday adventures tomorrow, need to get some things done around the house!

One question: Is the Rapunzel story long? I am not sure If we will add it to our "must do" list mainly because my 4 years old DD doesn´t speak English and I think that if it its too long it won´t get her attention. Altough, she loves Rapunzel.
