DAY 4 - Magic Kingdom - Florida Mall - The Wave
Today was and early get up, as we had an ADR for breakfast at Crystal Palace at 8:05. As it was normal park hours, Main Street was almost empty, so I took advantage of a few pics in front of the castle.
We were seated almost straight away, so headed for the buffet. A good selection of hot and cold items, so deciding was difficult. I can’t remember exactly what we had because it was spread over a few visits!
Soon the characters came along, one at a time. Pooh – Piglet – Tigger – Eey Ore.
We left after about 1 hour and headed over to Splash Mountain. This ride was walk on, as was Big Thunder Mountain which we rode straight after.
The skies went very dark at this point, so we managed to get to Haunted Mansion before the heavens opened up. Coming off the ride, it was still torrential rain, so another circuit of HM was in order!.
A tip for any one riding this, is when you go into the enclosed room with the stretching walls, stand underneath the picture of the lady with the umbrella, as this is the doorway that leads you to the carriages. The rain carried on and no sign of blue skies, so we made our way out of the park, through the shops in Main Street. We returned by to OKW for a change into dry clothes, and then we headed off to the Florida Mall.
We visited a few of our favourite shops H&M, Hollister, A&F and Sue bought some Ugg boots from the Walking Shop. I was feeling a little peckish, so we did a tour of the food court to taste the free samples!. We then made out way back to OKW for a shower and change of clothes, and then it was time to set out for our ADR at The Wave, located in the Contemporary. No wait again after checking in. This is a nicely decorated restaurant and no signs of Disney were visible.
Nigel: Chilli Flat Iron Steak + Celebration Trio + Merlot Wine + Coke
Sue: Chicken Pot Pie + Celebration Trio + Captain Mai Tia + Coke
Emma: Chicken Pot Pie + Sorbet Trio + Coke
The food I felt was just average and the dessert choice was poor (and rather bitter tasting)
We left The Wave at around 9:00 and headed back to OKW, and straight to bed.
