2015 Flower Power Concert Series

where's all the Flower Power groups from yesteryear (turtles, association, grass roots , paul revere (I know he pass), loving spoonful, the monkees, I think most of the new ones play at the F&WF also

FYI- the Turtles are starting their "Happy Together " Tour next month with The Association, Grassroots, Buckinghams & The Cowsills..google under "Happy Together Tour 2015"..Monkees not touring..Paul Revere's Raiders played over the weekend in Miami and a friend said they were terrific. still....The Orchestra is FANTASTIC if you like ELO, and Little River Band also outstanding..Guess Who are also really good live...:cool1:

I'm thinking the Monkees are too expensive. They're probably getting 100k a night playing casinos. No way those other acts are getting that kind of money.

My weekend is The Village People.

A group from my teen years, but when I review the song list, I remember about 4 of them. Not sure it's worth even a "free" concert.

That's because they only had 3 hits: Macho Man, YMCA, & In The Navy.."San Francisco" and "Key West" charted, but didn't make the Top 40...:cool1:

I'm not gonna lie... I'm bummed that we are missing Taylor Dayne by a few days. She was my very first concert. I would have loved to see her again :worried: Oh well, at least I still get to be there for the Flower and Garden festival! :thumbsup2

Can someone tell me how the concerts work? Is it just first come, first served and people line up in advance? How early do they recommend for, say, the LIttle RIver Band?

Yes its first come, first serve and people line up in advance. There are 3 shows each night on the weekend and the first show seems to fill up the fastest. But the theater is large and we have never had a problem getting a seat at one of the shows.

Davey Jones of the monkeys use to play here and he was scheduled to play in 2012 but he passed away. I believe Mickey Dolich took his place that year.

For the weekend we are there I had to google who Jon Secada is. Guess I won't need to make anytime for that.

I asked several friends/students if they had heard of En Vogue. No one has. I googled and not my type of music. I prefer the Flower Power bands. Guess I might spend our last night at a different park.

Early 90's R&B girl group with a little infusion of funk. 1 album wonders that very few under 40 are going to know.
