After applying several years in a row..... I got to round 2 this year! I am not going to get too excited, but I am happy I have made it further than I have before!

After applying every year. Going every year with 4 children of a variety of ages. Owing DVC for most of those years ...... I have once again not mad it past the first round. I'd love to hear privately from those that made it what you wrote. i'm not a terrible writer but in 100_ characters I must SUCK big time... Congrats to those that have been successful!!!!

I was not selected either, so I understand how you feel. We were in a rush to get to an event for my son, so I submitted from my iPad without proofing. When I got home, I reviewed the screen shots I took and noticed two typos in my submission. Considering all of the people who apply, I guarantee there are plenty with perfect grammar and no typos. That night, I told my husband I would not move on to the next round. My suspicions were correct.

If you apply again, proof read it many times before submitting to catch words like owing in place of owning or mad in place of made. Do not use fragments. Make sure you start sentences with capital letters. When referring to a person, use who instead of that. The sentence should read, Congrats to those who have been successful!

There is nothing major wrong with your writing, so you do not SUCK. The small details just matter more when there are that many applicants. I messed up too, so I will be more careful in the future as well. Good luck to you.

I was selected for Round 2. I've never gotten this far before. I was looking forward to this but now I'm nervous with all of the things I've read that they may ask. How many rounds do they have before they pick the panel?

There are 3 rounds. The 3rd round has been a phone interview in the past.

I think I'm coming a little late to the game. I finally submitted the questions and video yesterday. I'm a little pissed at myself for submitting the original questions (round 1) and my answers before saving them somehow. I found out about it at the last minute and just rushed through and submitted. Dumb luck guess. I spent a lot of time for round 2 wording my answers (those odd number word limits are a killer) but it's the video I'm worried about. I wrote out what I wanted to say first, but then couldn't remember it, stumbled over my words...I was nervous. I should've found some examples that are posted before I did it. :

Welcome!!! What specialty did you apply for? There are lots of example of people submitting their Round 1 questions on a whim. That is honestly the best way to do it.

I'm really heartbroken. I tried to get my video in by the deadline but the website froze. It took forever for my video to upload, and by then it was past the deadline. I had a really crazy week and I didn't think I was going to be able to finish everything, but wonderful friends helped me out and cheered me on and it's really disappointing that at the last minute everything was for nothing.
I didn't get a confirmation email so I know that my submission was not accepted. Good luck to everyone else, I have to go cry in my cornflakes now

Get ahold of Janice Tillman Brady on the Mickey Mom's FB page. She is gathering a list of the applicants who did not receive a confirmation email, just as she did in Round 1. She will then contact Disney to see if it was received.

Not usually. This year they had a problem with people who use Comcast email service but it was corrected. Which email service do you use?

The emails from round 2 haven't gone out yet. It's my understanding that in years past everyone has received a letter.
