Bob and Teena - that looks enjoyable!

We have WL dinner scheduled at Christmas - wanted to see the lodge during that time and what better way to force you over there than an ADR.

Going to do 1900 Park Fare for first time for same reason as above.

Hello to everyone - great jobs as usual keeping us informed better than anywhere else. :thumbsup2

Also posting so I can gaze at my ticker :hyper:

Have a great weekend all....oh yah - Go Aggies - LSU coming to our house....enjoy the hospitality....wish I could be there with my kids to renew the rivalry.

Bob and I just had the most wonderful dinner at Artist Point!!!!!!! I sure do love that place!

We have an ADR in less than 2 weeks! I can't wait!

And now that I've seen the pictures and read some other comments, I sure am glad the trip is so soon because I really can't wait to visit WL and Artist Point.

Bob and I just had the most wonderful dinner at Artist Point!!!!!!! I sure do love that place!

We love Artist Point.....both the filet and salmon are awesome :goodvibes.

Teena and Janet, would love to hear more details! We have an ADR there in January. We're going to make it - we used to have ADRs there when we stayed at WL and always ended up canceling. But not this time!

Artist Point is amazing. My DH and youngest DS love a good steak and Artist Point did not disappoint :thumbsup2. We can't wait to go back in July :).

For me it isn't about any specific details, it is just the entire atmosphere. It is such a calm and comfy room. All the chaos of Disney stops at the door of Artist Pointe.

Like all of us, I do love the chaos of Disney, but is also nice to find that little oasis of calm in the midst of it.

We've eaten there a few times. The food is always yummy and the service is top notch.

I agree....Artist Point is a nice, quiet atmosphere and makes for a relaxing and VERY good dinner ::yes::.

Thanks to every one for all the kind condolences. Everyone in the family feels a lot better now that my Mom is at peace. :littleangel: It occurred to me today that we did a lot of our mourning while Mom was getting sicker. She really helped us through that by talking to us and telling us how much she loved and appreciated us during her last days. I know I feel like a tremendous burden has been lifted.

One of these days I'm going to learn how to multi quote

Hey Sue! There is a Multi Quote tutorial near the end of the FAQ post on page 1 (Post 12). Try it out with us here. We are really friendly. :goodvibes

Basically, you click on the middle (double quote, ") button in the bottom right corner of any post you want to quote. Repeat for all the posts you want to quote. When you are done, hit the REPLY at the bottom of the page. You will get quote boxes for all of the posts for which you clicked the " button.

:thumbsup2

I love their chicken but didn't like the side that comes with it so they said I could substitute with any other side on other entrees ... rosiotto .... soooo good!!!

I'll try to get those posted in the morning. Just back from the soft opening of Ben's show.

It went great! Tomorrow is official opening night.

:thumbsup2 Wishing opening night success pixiedust:

It has been a while since I have been to the Disney store- did you get the Spiderman stuff there? Have they started welcoming and embracing the Marvel characters?

I thought I would take this opportunity to share a joke my son Nate made up when he was around 5 or 6:

Q: How does Spiderman know that it is time to go to the bathroom?

A: His Spidey Senses start Tinkling.

We made dining reservations so here's the line up:

Monday lunch at Hollywood and Vine with June from Disney's Little Einsteins, Jake the Neverland pirate, Handy Manny and Special Agent Oso. I have no idea who these dudes are but it sounds like fun to me!

Tuesday we are at that heck hole known as Chef Mickeys. I'm planning on amping up the fun by starting a food fight with the kids that run around unattended at this buffet ; )

Wednesday we are at Princess Central, also known as Akershus. This will be my Niece's Bippity Boppity Boutique day. We've been there before and we liked it, so we are happy to go back and my boys are happy because they can eat in peace and not be on the Princess meet and greet hot seat like they were before when the 5 of us went. LOL!!!

Thursday we are at the Garden Grill in the land pavilion at EPCOT with Chip and Dale. This is new for all of us so we are looking forward to it, especially since it's not something we would consider doing with Teens.

Friday we are at the Biergarten in Germany where all the adults will get drunk ;) and the kids will escort our wobbly butts to the buses. This is the day when the older folks plan on getting pushed around the parks in strollers with the little ones doing all of the pushing. Turn about is fair play I say!

Saturday I am thinking Rain Forest Cafe. I've never been but I heard it's noisy in there. My dad is hard of hearing so we plan on seating him right next to anything in there that is roaring or burping. While I'm thinking of it we should plan on putting the teen boys down that end as well. They can get pretty growly and burpy, not to mention gassy, and crabby, as well as stinky, dirty and tired. Hey! I think I've just come up with a set of substitute seven dwarfs!

:grouphug: to everyone!

Love the dining plans!

The picture look delicious.... execuse me while I wipe my drool away

It has been a while since I have been to the Disney store- did you get the Spiderman stuff there? Have they started welcoming and embracing the Marvel characters?

The Disney Store has more Marvel stuff than they do either Toy Story or Cars! It's rare for the stuff to go on sale but from what I've heard, it's excellent quality Marvel stuff. Lots of Spidey, Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America stuff.....

It's funny because the Marvel stuff brings in not your typical Disney customer.....lots of teenage and young adult men!

NM, your dining plans look fun! Planning a Disney trip always gets my adrenaline pumping and makes me forget about everything else that's going on in my life. Have fun at POFQ! Be sure to check out the food court at POR....it's fabulous!

Thanks for your replies, ive copies the activities and ever so grateful for that. Loads of info I need to go through on here , I cant keep up !!!! My son has just got back from his school residential , they go away for the week with school and do outdoor activities so am now up to my neck in muddy clothes to wash, and dry ! They have had a fantastic time quad biking, canoeing etc !Roll on next Thursday and our arrival at the B/C.

A: His Spidey Senses start Tinkling.

Loved the joke. I'll be sure to pass that along to my nephew, who is very serious and scientifically minded. His mind will start processing and he will be asking me a million questions like "Where is the spidey sense?" and "why does he need that to go 'pischy' ?" (Pischy = the Hungarian word for tinkle)

Sometimes when I'm feeding him a line or a story he just rolls his eyes at me and runs off. (sound familiar Dee? Amen sistah and mother to teen boys!)

His three year old sister however is no where near being on to me so let the games begin!

I'm figuring that the Marvel heroes (Saw The hulk and Captain America too) were there because of their popularity and the DHS connection.

Good luck with the play and better luck with your teens!

NM, I'd like to add my condolences on your loss. It sounds like your family was such a gift to your mother and all of you. Blessings.

It's going to be a GREAT game to watch!!! Wish I could be there, but I guess T.V. will have to do :)

Teena,

that meal at Artist Point looks amazing!!! It's on our wish list for either next year or 2014!!!

There are just too many places on my list to fit them all in on one trip ;)

Are the garden view patios nice at the Beach Club?

I was going to put in two requests:
1st for a full balcony &
2nd for a day bed

As they are only requests I thought it might improve my chances if I put 'full balcony or patio' as my 1st request.

Forever11709: That is the cutest costume ever!!! What a beauty. My 3 year old niece is a HUGE Toy Story fan..........her birthday party last weekend was Toy Story themed. Most little girls like princess parties, not this one!!!

That's what I am thinking of doing. Some people don't like the ground floor because it's bordered on some rooms by a walk way, like the ones you see in all of those secret entrance pictures. It does look like there is a little landscaping on the other side of that path so that might block the view of the parking lot and there would be no roof to worry about. The down side might be that it would be easier for someone to pry open the sliding glass door and potentially break into your room, but I've not heard that that is a concern at this resort and I doubt that there would be a lot of traffic on those paths, even with the people that stay in the resort. It's not like a Mod or a Value where people only walk on the outside of the building to get to their rooms.

Remember that these requests are only requests and that the hotel will give first shot at the daybeds for parties of 5. After that they would probably try to meet requests.

Yum! I love risotto. I'll have to put that on my bucket list.. Last Aug we tried Brown Derby, and in Jan we have ADR for Narccoossees, and Jiko. Next Aug YC stay we are thinking of Flying Fish. Maybe have to add WL to thAt plan.

I love sitting in the WL lobby in those rockers by the fire.

Thanks for the reply, I think it might be worth me putting a patio request in as well. So long as we always remember to lock the doors to the patio when we go out, hopefully we'll be ok security wise.

The request for the day bed is because my teenage son don't want to share a bed with anyone, (fair enough as it would be me, my husband or my teenage daughter). I haven't told him that there's a possibility of a day bed, if we don't get one I may end up buying a blow up bed for the week.:)

Does anyone here know if Stormalong Bay will be undergoing repairs/maintenance the week of Feb 3 - 11th?
Last year during our stay (early Jan) they were doing repairs & many parts of the pool were sectioned off.
Thanks!

Anyone familiar w/ the rehab schedule?

I'll have to keep an eye out for the risotto. I haven't looked at the menu in a while. I may have to do that again this weekend to see what I might be ordering.

Oh happy to hear this! Eating there for the first time this trip and it's in my top two meals I'm super excited for (the other is Sanna)!!!

I can't wait to hear how you like Sanaa. It didn't make the cut for this trip since we had already decided on Jiko, but it's definitely a place I'd like to try in the future.

We've only done Narccoossee's previously and we loved it. Since it usually gets rated lowest among the signatures, we're excited to try new places this trip...including Flying Fish and Jiko. (We also have Artist Point, Citricos and California Grill. )
