Hi Linda,

just an FYI on card playing - when on board give Joel, the Asst Cruise director a jingle and he may help you out. DCL has had the idea of coming up with card playing sessions in Diversions - the reason why they haven't started it - is they don't know what to name it!

Maybe you could help this along............................

Wish I was coming on this cruise - but I just couldn't do it without Chris and he has school - but he will be there to Great Everyone when you pull into port in Long Beach - which from what I hear is going to be pretty spectacular!! You're cruising into port around Noon? I don't know - he has the scoop on this one, through his friends in DL.

Miss you guys - hope to hook up again soon!

Wish you could come with us! You could surprise Chris! If Disney is planning on coming in late, they better communicate, or I think people are going to be missing flights! Our flights isn't until 3 p.m., so we are okay, but I would think we are coming in more around 8-9 in the morning. I wonder if they are planning on some big thing for the first passengers boarding at noon to leave on the first West Coast Cruise?

Laurie-well I think it was Laurie.....here is what our door sign looked like for the 10 day Christmas Cruise:

Linda,

That is such a cute door sign! Thank you for sharing!

After watching all the card sharks on tv...I love Texas Hold-em!

Laurie

Leslie - I will be bringing my pins. This is my last chance to try to trade for one of the vintage POM (from last year) I am trying to collect for a friend. I haven't had very much luck trading on previous cruises so my fingers are crossed. pirate:

Linda,
Chris isn't home right now - out with friends - he's enjoying the last week of his winter break and then off he goes back to Long Beach - today it is 8 here in Boston and it is 82 in Long Beach -------- gee wish I was going!

But anyway I will get the info for you - all I remember is it has something to do with their 50th celebrations.

Take care and it is great to keep in touch!

I posted the list that karaeric provided to us via email to make it easier...that way karaeric won't have to keep emailing/PMing all of us.

http://members.cox.net/rdcostello/excursions.html shows what was sent out, hope that helps everyone!
THANK YOU!! I had been sending that out from my work email, which is reviewed by the President...long story, but welcome to my industry. Anyway, I really appreciate you doing this!

Jenn- Looks good, I'll get DH to shoot you a pic. Is Jeff going to update the "Where we are staying" link too? I would love to see how much of deck 6 we now cover!

I know I keep promising, but I really will try to post a list of who is participating in TAG later today to make sure I'm not missing anyone so far.

NO heels - I live for comfy footwear (though I promise not to wear my Birkenstocks with the gowns).

I agree about the foot comfort and, to that end, for the 10-day packed my prettiest suede lace-up black Sketchers to wear to Palo...The plan was foiled, however, when I emerged from my body massage slick and slippery from head to toe and took a spill in my bathroom, slipping on the only piece of non-skid surface in the entire stateroom (the metal plate in the doorway to the bathroom) and whacked the INSIDE of my ankle on the door jamb.... OHHH, the bruise, OHHH, the swelling...(met the Dr., too).

The servers at Palo were amused to tell me that night that I was the first diner ever to show up with nothing but a toe ring on her stockinged feet....

Woman, dog, chariot, bare feet, at Palo.....priceless...

I love playing card games (hearts, pinochle, spades). There will be alot of sea days and I wonder if anyone else would like to get together and play some cards?
Count us in...I'll bring my shuffler.....

Kara - Could you please sign us up for tag. We don't have a room assignment yet so I don't know how that will work. As soon as we get one I'll let you know.

Thanks - Joan

Who is keeping track of the card players?? Sign me up :-) My DH doesn't play, but this will be great for me!

I love hearts and spades. Anyone ever know of a game called Hollywood Rum? I have played with my sisters for over 30 years now, and have never found anyone else that knows the game. It is very fun.

I would like to plat TAG too. Can you mark me down??

Jen - I will be sending updated info to you tonight, along with pictures.

Shari (spros) is the person who mentioned card games.

I personally am not a huge card player, but I know someone had mentioned a book exchange earlier. Who was that? I would like to get in on that! I always end up bringing too many books for fear that I run out of reading material.

How old is Tippy? Our beagle is 10.5, but has gotten so much more spunky now that her friend is here!

Both men in our party will be in tuxes. Floor length gowns for formal nights, pantsuits or nice dresses for semi...

TIPPY THE WONDER BEAGLE

Tippy is 13 1/2. The picture is a few years old. It was the only one already in online storage. Click her picture for her webpage. If you meet Lee onboard, ask her if she brought Tippy's picture.

If everyone keeps saying they're wearing tuxes, I guess I'll be shamed into it. :D

OK kinda caught up, trying to relax enough to get to sleep.

Hey Bob on the cruise you can imagine no more, as I will be wearing my Tux on formal nights. :) I have really kept our neighbors wondering about me as I have been seen in anything from a tux, to BDU's, body armor, Hazmat suits, wet and dry suits, leather riding the motorcycle, pony tail to shorter hair, shorts and flip flops are my favorite.
Actually nothing surprises them anymore.

.................

Sorry Beagle Lovers, but Malamutes Rule. Tee Hee.

I better get to bed.
Hey Scott, I don't see Cowboy Hat. Surely you wear one sometimes there. Work doesn't count.
Have you ever blown out your flip-flops?

Malamutes may rule, but you can't carry them up the ladders on trail 3 at Turkey Run. Turkey Run Trail 3

Nothing wrong with that...I always bring a pic of our dog (well she is actually my parents dog...but me and DH have joint custody)

I've got the younger beagles it looks like Josie will be 4 on Valentine's Day and Copper will be 5 in June.

The deck plans were updated last night, you can get the link from the cruise page. I got about 6 or 7 more updates today Jeff will try to get to them tonite.

Bob, OK OK OK a Malamute would be kinda heavy, but they don’t know how big they are.

Sorry no Cowboy hat,

SO will Bob be shamed into a TUX, tune in next week for the answer.........

I mentioned card games so I'll attempt to keep track of who wants to play what games. Haven't heard of Hollywood Rummy but I'm always up for learning new card games.

Okay, so I guess it's just my cabin #'s that haven't been updated on the map...

Next time Jeff goes in there, can he update ours too please? :cool1:
