Thinking about going next year from January 2-8 (kids have late break from school). Besides the cool weather, what do you think of going at that time? Thinking crowds will be low and it's a very cheap week at DVC!!!:goodvibes

It is a good time to go if you don't mind the cold and possible lack of pool time. The Christmas decorations should still be up and crowd levels will be LOW! You never can tell in Florida about the weather - you could luck up and have a warm spell. You also may have some seasonal shut downs for maintenance, but overall it is a fun time to go.

We've gone during the 1st week of Jan three times. Its a great time to go! The New Years crowds starts to thin for the first two or three days, and by the 4th, it's down to a very managable level. The only thing is the whether. Two of the three times we;ve been down there we weren't able to use our shorts at all on the trip, but IMO, its better than burning alive in the summer heat.:goodvibes

Just remember that this is the time that they shut down Typhoon Lagoon for matenence or whatever, so you won't be able to go there.
