Check out Bob Thomas's biography on Disney. Great detail on his life including the ups and downs.

All correct to my knowledge and reading. However #6 is a bit off............he did appear before the committee and did state that some leaders of the animators strike were communists and they were admitted communists.

The leader left the studio within 1 year of the strike, mostly because the other workers wanted nothing to do with him anymore.

Kurt Russell (now married to Goldie Horn) was a child actor at Disney. He was in a number of movies. The one I remember was *Follow Me Boys* with Fred MacMurrey and Vera Miles.

Maybe Walt was thinking of a new Movie and putting Kurt in it.

If interested look up some of the Mortimer Mouse toons on Ytube. He was snotty, nasty and snide...and the public hated him... The reincarnation of "the mouse" was Mickey. Down trodden, but still a little obstinate was a quick favorite. I don't see that Mortimer Mouse would have lasted very long...
