I'll second that !! Imade a list of the contents of each checked bags, divided up our clothes , put copies of our itineraries in each bag, even took pictures of each bag. We fly non-stop to Barcelona from PHL. HOPEFULLY we all will arrive safely and have bags as well !!

Looking forward to seeing all of you ! Leaving in an hour to the airport to pick up Jack. We'll head up to Philadelphia around 7am and fly out at 6:30.

Hi everyone,

We have been to Paris, Spain and Portugal. It has been very hot here in Spain, usually around 90 - 100F. We leave for Barcelona in the morning. I cannot wait for the cruise to begin. No more packing/unpacking, just pampering.
I have not kept up with the board because hotels here in Europe either do not offer internet in our rooms or it is extremely expensive.
My daughters (ages 9, 10 and 11) are excited, too. Hopefully there will be more girls their ages on this cruise.
I see the dismeet is still at 4pm? Will that conflict with the lifeboat drill? Sorry if this is a repeat question but I have not been on the board since July 13th.

Hello all you soon to be lucky, lucky travelers. I am in need of one postcard from Sicily. I can't believe I forgot to get one when on the 070707 Med cruise. I was going through all my postcards from our 6 week trip and no Sicily. Can someone pm me if they can send me one. (it can be mailed from the states)
I have made my kitchen table into a travel table. I had a glass top made to fit and under it is postcards from all our travels and ones I have received. Some go back 40 years. I have no room left after this trip! But I really would like one from Sicily and will make the room.

We arrived in Barcelona yesterday, and all of our luggage made it with us. We are at the Grand Marina and it is grand. Everything is wonderful and can´t wait until Wednesday to get on the ship.

If you have time I recommend this bike tour. It was fun and last evening's tour was just our family of 5. The last tour is at 7pm and you meet at the Plaza of St jeume (spelling) and someone will come by in a red shirt and riding a bike. He/She will wait until 7pm and then escort you to the bike shop and off you go. It was an awesome layed back way to see Barcelona. Plus it was cool temperatures!

My family and I are on the Aug 8th cruise now, and the airline lost ALL our luggage. We don't expect we'll see it before Naples, if then. We came a day early to avoid this, but I guess you can't prepare for everything.

If anyone on the cruise is reading this, we would greatly appreciate it if anyone has a girl's size 8 or 10 bathing suit we could borrow. They don't have any in the shops. My children are being real troopers, but I know my daughter will be disappointed if she doesn't get to to swim in the pool. our stateroom number is 7526. I figure it's ok to post it, because there's nothing there to take!

I would also love some eyeliner, but a bathing suit for my daughter would really ease my mind.

We're not going to let this spoil our fun. We hope everyone is having a great time.

So sorry to hear what happened tp you Beth. That's terrible. Hopefully someone with come through with a suit for your DD.

If you don't mind me asking, what airline did you fly on? This is my biggest fear as I am on the repo next week.

Thank you to Chris and Katie for bringing those clothes for my daughter. You are so nice to do that for her. We still have no luggage, but things look hopeful for tomorrow in Naples. The kindness of other travelers and the Disney staff has been very heartwarming.

As for the airline, we flew USAir from Charlotte to Philadelphia, the British Air from PHL to London to Barcelona. We know of several other families whose luggage was lost by British Air. It seems to be a problem tha transcends airlines however.

So far-- even without luggage-- we are having a great time! We loved Barcelona, and enjoyed our Day on the Farm today in Sicily.

Thanks for the good thoughts. Tomorrow is the BIG DAY luggage-wise.

For anyone following our crisis.......

Most of our luggage arrived today while we were in Pompeii. A few things are missing, but it's amazing how good it feels to change your bra and shoes!!! The rest is supposed to be in Olbia, so we're feeling good.

In spite of the luggage situation, we have been having a GREAT time. The weather is fantastic. Today in Pompeii, I think it was about 78 degrees with a breeze. Cast members have mentioned this has been the best weather of the summer. We are fortunate.

So far, we have done Panoramic Tour of Barcelona, Day on the Farm in Palermo, and Timeless Pompeii and Flavor of Sorrento. Each one has been great. I think the good weather really improves the day.

We also had luggage trouble and spent our 3 days in Barcelona either waiting for the bags or heading off to the airport to track them down. We rented and apartment, so there was no front desk for the bags to arrive at. We did eventually get 4 of the 5, but the fifth one is missing. It had the booster seat my running shoes, jackets and sorry to say, part of the gift exchange gifts we had brought. Not a huge deal and nothing irreplaceable, but we are losing hope of ever seeing our huge duffel bag again. Disney is looking out for it now, but even so, the airlines don't know where it is. We flew Delta airlines all the way, and the bags did not leave our airport when we did, though we had arrived with plenty of time. We are just glad to have all our CLOTHES. We spent 36 hours with carry-on clothes only!

The excursions have been good so far. Herculaneum was the biggest disappointment mostly due to our particular tour guide. We loved our tours of Erice and Segesta and yesterday, the kids and I made pasta in Sardinia and fell in love with the place.

We've had a good time seeing fellow DISers around the ship too!

Hope you continue to have a great time on your cruise. We were leaving Barcelona on the 8th as you all were on or getting on the boat. These photos were taken on August 8th, at around 4:45 pm of the Magic in port.
