Disney Fantasy - Mechanical issues 7/8/2019

I was on this cruise. Didn't mind skipping Jamaica one bit...days at sea are my favorite! Disney verified that the placeholder discount WILL stack with the 20% off. I didn't feel any vibration or smell any sewage. We were deck 10 midship. It was an amazing cruise!

Silly question re: boneless chicken breast at restaurants

I feel ridiculous for asking but I hate chicken on the bone. On our last cruise I didn't get the chicken at the restaurants b/c of this. Has anyone else dealt with this? Will they make you a boneless chicken breast for the chicken dinner if requested?

    Parasailing on Castaway Cay

Thanks. I saw that information, I was just wondering if "accompanied by an adult" meant on the boat, or on the actual parasail. If it's on the boat, then we're all set. If it's on the actual parasail, I will probably need to purchase 2 trips for myself so I can go with each kid, if that makes sense.

    Parasailing on Castaway Cay

So my daughters and I want to parasail when we're at CC. They will be 10 and almost 12 during the trip. My older DD is over 90 lbs, and my younger daughter is under. Can I parasail with my younger DD and let my older one go by herself even though she's under 13 years old? Or do I have to buy two...

    Dining some nights only?

We are heading on our second cruise this summer. Last cruise, we really enjoyed the sit-down restaurants but sometimes felt "tied" to eating at a specific time/place. Particularly if we were relaxed and comfy from the day and didn't feel like getting gussied up for dinner. There were a few...

What Rides / Attractions Are You "Retired" From???

I hate the Astro Orbiter. Loooong, slow loading, uncomfortable ride. Thought about boycotting Hall of Presidents because of Trump, but I do love it. Maybe I'll just close my eyes and plug my ears when (if) he talks.

Not getting off the ship in port?

Hello, I'm tossing the idea around of not getting off the ship in Falmouth on our upcoming cruise. Can this be done? If so, will there still be activities (movies, kids clubs, etc) to enjoy on the ship on port days? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm a cruise newbie.

Planning vs. Flexibility - How do you balance them?

I always have a plan formed, but am okay with cancelling and/or adjusting. The only non-negotiables are ADRs that we'll get charged for. We highly value down time at WDW so if people are cranky or weather is iffy, we just go with the flow.

    Do kids bring their bikes?

We are staying in the cabins this June. At other campgrounds I've seen kids with their bikes. Thinking of letting our kids bring theirs, is that something that is commonly done at FW? Thanks!!

What are the best tips you have for creating the perfect day in the Magic Kingdom?

My perfect day involves some time just sitting and people watching with a yummy treat. 7DMT is amazing late at night. Hidden Mickeys are always fun for our older kids...they're not really into characters anymore... ...Except for Gaston. He is hilarious! TomorrowLand Transit Authority at...

What do you always plan to do but never accomplish?

I've been to WDW more times than I can count and I've somehow never made it to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. I really want to go, it it never works out.

    What are your Disney "Sleepers"

Carousel of Progress (my absolute sentimental favorite) Hall of Presidents Tomorrrowland Transit Authority (which will always be the WEDWay People Mover in my mind) Walt Disney World Railroad (YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE)

If you have more than one child, do your children get along with each other?

DDs get along pretty well at 9 and 7 years old. They giggle and play a lot...share a lot of the same friends. My middle DD is such an extrovert...and oldest DD is very introverted, so the only friction between them is when DD9 wants alone time. For DD7, alone time is torture. They have a common...

How much do Gay Days affect crowds?

Awesome! Glad to hear it! I think I'll keep my trip as-is. Having said that, I've never been in June before. I was hoping early June would be slightly less crowded as some kids will still be in school. Will it be middle-of-July busy? We've successfully done spring break times and October using...

How much do Gay Days affect crowds?

Planning a trip for June 1-8 and see that Gay Days falls at the start of the trip. Will the crowds be higher because of Gay Days? I could reschedule for June 4-11, but not sure if that would make much of a difference. Thoughts? Thanks!

Need thoughts re: driving vs. flying

So we have 2 Disney trips coming up. We're going to POR for 7 nights in early June, then a Disney cruise in July. This is my first cruise so I'm unfamiliar with the ins and outs of driving vs. flying to Cape Canaveral. For financial reasons, we have decided to fly for one trip, and drive from...

How far are you traveling to eat Thanksgiving dinner?

On Wednesday we are going to my parents' house, which is about 50 miles away. On Thursday we're going to my in-laws' house which is about 4 miles away.
