We buy Travelex. Thankfully, I've never had to use it, so I can't say how easy they are to deal with if you have a claim. If you purchase within 21 days of your deposit, all pre-existing conditions are waived. Other than that, I don't know how long you can wait to buy it.

Yes, it really stinks that it is so hard to cruise with 5. I'm in the exact same situation. My kids are 10, 8, and 1. I think we're going to book to cat 12s instead of the cat 4 since it is about $1500 less on the 7 night. You lose out on the kids sail free entirely this way, though.

You can remove the straps on the Nile. Just peel them off the rivet, like unbuttoning a button. Then you won't have to worry about them rubbing.

Another option is to stay in Orlando. You're just 45 minutes or so from the port, and you can get a 3 star for quite a bit less since there are more rooms available. We got the 3 star Wyndham on International drive in January for $28. Well worth the hour drive in the morning, IMHO.

I just got off the 1/6 Wonder, and I was able to rebook this cruise while onboard. We already had a reservation through DU, but in order to get the onboard discount and $200 credit, we had to cancel and rebook. We were even assigned a room, so apparently the sailing isn't full yet.

We've stayed near the elevators on deck 6 twice before, and it wasn't bad at all. In fact, we booked near the elevators after being there the first time. The convenience more than made up for the extra traffic we heard. Only a couple of times did we hear some kids playing on the elevators.
