We were at Tusker House a couple of weeks ago for arrival day lunch, it was really good. The curries were surprising. But Tiffins is in another league altogether. The only disappointment was the huge downpour the night we went to Tiffins which led to the ROL being cancelled.
Last Saturday we had a 9 pm ADR and 9 pm fireworks. We checked in downstairs about 840, got upstairs about 10 minutes later. Our table was ñot ready so we were able to wait on the deck. We got the text that our table was ready at about 905 so I went in to be shown the table then went outside...
Last time we were there we got in about 45 minutes after our ADR time (about 9 I think), but a group of over 100 people left at the same time while we were waiting so I assume that some of them were there quite a while holding up tables. Soon after they left a lot of people got called for their...
1. BOG dinner last year - my daughter was dressed as Belle, and had just come from BBB. All the CM's made a fuss, and when she met the Beast he bowed low and then danced around the room with her. The food was really good too.
2. Narcoossee's for our last night dinner, we had the steak and...
Surprisingly San Angel Inn - I had a really good steak there last January. It was head and shoulders above the steak I had eaten at Le Cellier a couple of nights earlier (and as a Canadian it pains me to say that).
We try to do a mix - all of our favourites were "new" at one point. On our last trip we had almost exactly half of our meals at new to us places and half repeats.
On our trip in January California Grill at 850 was our arrival night dinner. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were seated by our reservation time. We were done in time for Wishes without rushing.
Both are fantastic depending on what you are looking for. California Grill has great sushi, Narcoossee's has great lobster or surf and turf. We ate at both last trip and they were both tremendous.
When we flew in January, we did not book an arrival lunch (we had booked dinner 10 hours after our flight was due to land). So when we had arrived and were on the Magical Express we looked up open ADR times on my wife's phone and made a reservation then. There were lots of choices and no...
We enjoyed Le Cellier a couple of years ago, not so much this time. The food certainly wasn't bad, but in all honesty I had a better steak at San Angel Inn a couple of days later. I think it just doesn't live up to its reputation anymore.
We went in January - we got a last minute lunch ADR on our first day, after we had checked into our resort. The food was good and we sat on the second tier so we had a good view of the aquarium. We have never had an issue with service there and again the service was good.
We had breakfast in January - we waited about 20 minutes past our ADR time to get in, that appeared to be because there was a huge group that came out together, probably enough people to fill 3/4 of the tables. Once in the meal was less than an hour. We saw all 4 characters, the food and...
We did both in January. Le Cellier is okay, but not worth signature. Narcoossee's is tremendous. If you are staying at GF anyway then to me it is an easy choice.
We have used it for 3 trips now, ranging from 4 to 8 nights. We always "Save" money, but honestly part or all of that savings comes from ordering things we would not order if it hadn't been prepaid. We especially enjoy visiting the signatures. We would never not go to Disney if the plan was...
