    Winter Disney Cruise?

Thanks for the input. My wife just scheduled a cruise for around March 1st. We can't wait!

    Winter Disney Cruise?

We are considering going on a Disney cruise in February or March from Port Canaveral for 3-4 days. We have never taken a cruise. Is this a good or bad idea? How would the weather, temps, water temps, etc. affect the cruise? Can Castaway Cay, the pools and water slides still be enjoyed...

    Thanksgiving dining?

Thanks for the input. My wife and I would be okay with less traditional, but our 11 y.o. son hates breaking with tradition. Liberty Tree may be a good choice. It looks like there are plenty of options from which to choose, though.

    Thanksgiving dining?

I know this is way off schedule! But, pardon my OCD. We will be staying at WDW during Thanksgiving this year. Where onsite would be good places to have Thanksgiving dinner? Are there any restaurants that have "special" Thanksgiving meals? We will be staying at the Beach Club and most likely...

    Etiquette question

Thanks for the advice! I will check the monorail times and have go at it. I have ran at Wilderness Lodge and at the Epcot resorts before. So, I look forward to these new trails.

    Etiquette question

We are staying at the Bay Lake Towers in early March. I am an avid runner and have a marathon about 6 weeks later. I love to enjoy the scenery and explore while running. Since there is no way to safely run from BLT to the Grand Floridian and Polynesian, I have considered taking the monorail...

ADRs for Sci-fi and 50s Prime Time

I went ahead and made reservations. Most everything was booked up already! We have mid-afternoon lunch reservations, which will be fine. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was. Thanks again for the advice!

ADRs for Sci-fi and 50s Prime Time

We will be at WDW for 2 weeks in mid-December (19 days to go!!), just 3 of us: me, my wife, and 11y.o. son. I have a conference for 4 of the days. We are not "big" or "picky" eaters, but would like to experience the show of the Sci-fi and 50s Prime Time restaurants. How far in advance is it...

I need a run worthy of an adventure

I recommend the "American Discovery Trail Marathon" in Colorado Springs on Labor Day. You run south on the Santa Fe trail from Palmer Lake, through the Air Force Academy, to downtown Colorado Springs with fabulous views of the Front Range and Pikes Peak throughout most of the run. It begins at...

    energy on long runs

I have tried a little of everything. Anything too sweat, like gels, make me nauseous. I like Clif Bars (chocolate mint flavor) and pretzels. I carry them in a ziplock bag, not classey, but effective. Trial and error is the way to go. You have plenty of time. Good luck.

    Moving on up...

As already stated above, the jump from a 1/2 to a full marathon is big. I had doubts about being able to complete a full prior to my first. But now, I believe that most any healthy person with proper training can complete a marathon; achieving a specific goal time is a different story. I...

Sample of what you eat the night before/ day of race!

The day or 2 before a race I decrease the fiber and increase the starch to decrease GI issues: no beans, onions, etc. About 2 hours prior to the race, I eat a banana or 1/2 PBJ, and finish with a chocolate mint Clifs bar about 20 minutes prior to start. It's worked well.

Attention Distance Runners! What are you listening to on your iPod on your runs?

I run au natural (no music !!), over 2000 miles last year. I enjoy listening to the birds and other sounds of nature. It just helps me get my mind clear. Sorry, no help on the playlist.

    Vero Beach room choices

My wife, 10 y/o son, and I are considering staying a few days at VB. We only need a studio or a regular Inn room. My wife would really like an ocean view room. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Please share your best & worst dining experiences

Best: maybe surprisingly, but it is a CS restaurant: Tangierine Cafe. It was our first visit to Epcot in '99. We had never eaten Mediterranean food. The food was wonderful and we sat at a table and watched the Epcot parade (of nations (?)). A great experience. I still love the place...

Resorts - "USA Today" Resort Hotel Delivery - Beginning 1/30/2012

I do not think that I have ever looked at the paper during a stay. Good move from my point of view. It's there if you need it, but not wasted if you don't: win/win.

Cape May Seafood or Chefs of France?

We ate at both in December. Cape May was our best table service dining experience and Les Chefs de France was the worst. The variety and quality of the food at Cape May is impressive. My 10 y/o son and I thought that the oysters and mussels were the best things that we ate at WDW. At Les...
