we just found out that our kids will be out of school all of Thanksgiving week. Of course there are no vacancies at the fort. What's the likelihood of anything opening up? Do they have a wait list? Do I just keep checking? We are tent campers.
We have a Coleman instant tent and love it. Plenty of room, not a bad price and could not be easier to set up. I have set our 8 man tent up with just my son as help. He was 4. Amazon has 4 man tent for $106.
We have tent camped (2000 loop), and have rented a popup (1500 loop) and this time are going to stay in the cabins. My heart is still in tent camping and I would like to stay in the cabin loop that is near 2000. It kind of sits between 2000 and another camping loop. Also because we are bringing...
In a few months we are staying at the fort in the cabins. We are planning on hitting MK first then checking in in the afternoon. Rather than moving the car from parking lot to parking lot we wonder if we can park at FW, take the bus or boat to MK then come back for check in. Any advice on this?
Wouldn't know where to search this but we have ressies at the cabins in a couple of months. My Dads wife is with us and her ticket shows in our MDE account but it doesn't give us a chance to order MB for her. Clearly it is linked since it shows and we were able to order our bands but it won't...
If I run the princess next year I will likely tent solo. Oddly I feel more safe in a tent at the fort than in a solo room where if I was attacked (in a room) no one would hear, or care.
We string white Christmas lights inside our tent across the ceiling. Plenty light enough in both weight and illumination and no one get blinded if they happen to look directly at the light and not nearly as many shadows as with a single light source
My argument to get DH to start camping started with "kids don't make friends when you stay in a hotel" then went on to "my vacation ends when we get to the room" and ended with "when camping, the dirt the kids get into is dirt, not bodily fluids on a hotel bedspread".
Thank you. I couldn't figure out where it was in the cabin. Trying to figure out where to put who. I wonder if the bunks are normal twins or like some college bunks which are a little longer. DH is 6'5" so unless it's a queen or king he gets one bed to himself. Sure would work nice if he's in...
For us it's a way to try out a pop up and see if that's our next step. We tent camp but at our age our knees make such noise getting up and down from air mattresses that the little woodsy creatures complained to Mother Nature.
Agree with the setting up early and WDW welcoming. We are renting a trailer, the said they will be set up by our arrival time and when I let the fort know that the company would be doing this their reply was "excellent". I agree it expands the use of the fort and dealing with. Few regulars who...
Am finding it very hard to get as much info about US/IOA as it is to plan WDW. My biggest question is if we can bring snack, water bottles into the park.
Bummer, we will be leaving the 18th. Ah, now I get MDE, all I could think was Disney express/magic express. We will probably only use magic bands for the potty, this trip is going to be spent at universal :O
