We just got back today from the trip and did visa on arrival for the same reason. You have to apply and be approved ahead of time but you don't need to send in your passport. Let me know if you want more info.

In regards to dining, I've heard that they serve afternoon tea at the cafe on main street. Do you know any thing about this? Are there certain hours? Do they offer it all the time out just for special events? Do you need/ can you make reservations? Thanks for any info you have!

Is anyone familiar with visa on arrival in Vietnam? I know you need the approval letter before arrive there. But, I was just wondering if any one has received a visa by this method and if you would recommend it?

I have never booked an ABD through Jetsetter, but I have used them for hotel reservations on many occasions. I have always had an easy hassle free experience and would have no reservations about booking an ABD if the dates worked right. Just my opinion.
