Hubby and I are planning a surprise trip for the kids for November 2013. So much to research! Anyhow, our "plan" is to buy the 5-day ticket. We want to hit a water park and would gladly pay to have that option, but being November....should we? HELP!?! :confused3

The fireworks are great from Pirates Cove. We could see them even better from our balcony in room 1305. It was great!!!

I 2nd the tip about going on down to the 2nd level only once. Those escalators are insane! Wow! We hit the back lot tour first, then Simpsons before going down to the lower level. Saw everything there, had a bite to eat then tackled the main level. It was a great day. The kids had a blast...

Sorry you had a bad experience at the picnic. We went on the 27th of Aug and it went really well. We arrived about 15 minutes before, told the girls organizing the meals were were there, we sat down, they came and made us sign something and within 5 minutes we were eating lunch. Went very well...

We fly out tomorrow morning to LA and I am excited/anxious/a little nauseous :confused3 Can't wait to get there!! Hope the crowds are not too insane! I see it's been pretty nutty! Thank you everyone for all your wonderful advice and help. Hopefully I can put it all to good use :)...

Thanks everyone. We have a 5 day hopper pass.....and the way our week is scheduled, our arrival day will count as a day at the park :) Sucks to not make it a full day..but hey...I'm at Disneyland!!! :banana:

We are getting closer and closer to our DL trip. We arrive at LAX around 1:30. Once we get through customs (however long that takes) and get our luggage, how long do you think it will take to take the Disney Express over to the HoJo? Want to know how much time we will have the first day there...

You can leave the park and go back to your hotel for a little break if needed, then head back all on the same day right? Hope I am reading that correctly! We plan to hit the park early in the morning and take a break mid afternoon for some swimming, naps, etc in the afternoon before heading...
