Ladies - how do you carry your wave phone and KTTW card?

I use a leather like crossbody I got at Kohls on clearance made by Relic. It is similar to this one...

    disney gift cards from target

I have been buying the Dis GC at Target using my Redcard. I immediately walk over to guest services and make a Redcard payment. For me, it's totally worth it because my cruise cost is 5k+ and I normally shop at Target regardless. Maybe I'm lucky because my Target is well stocked up and during...

Shuttle for 7 with kids FLL-Miami

I've seen some people recommend SAS, which is probably who we will use for our family of 7 to get from FLL to MIA.

    Travel Insurance

I would not cruise without it. You should always insure what you can't afford to lose and less than $200 to insure a $10k+ vacation for 6 people just seems like a small price to pay for a good peace of mind.

re: discounted Disney gift cards with Target red card

Well I was just at Target yesterday as well and made my first batch of GC purchase towards our cruise for $450. No one batted an eyelash or mentioned anything about any sort of limit.

    Footwear

For my WDW trip in 2010, I bought a new pair of closed toe Tevas ($60) and they took me everywhere with no foot pain whatsoever & did NOT need to be broken in. In May of this year, I sprung for a pair of Merrell sandals for our Disney Med Cruise and they were amazing. Even after 8 hours of...

A Foodie's First Time for EVERYTHING w/pics - Magic in the Med May '14, updated 06/25

I have started this post three different times, but my desktop PC has decided to stop working. BOO! Hopefully, third time's a charm. On Monday morning, the first thing I did after opening my eyes was run to my porthole window and VOILA! France! I ate my almond croissant (leftover from...

It's our first sea day! I awoke to the ship slightly sloshing from side to side, which is a little unnerving for this nervous Nellie traveler! Thankfully I was taking Bonine (Meclizine) for motion sickness which worked wonderfully. TIP: If you are prone to motion sickness like me, I highly...

It's embarkation day! We had a very nice "continental" breakfast at our hotel, which was included in the price. Nothing like the the American continental breakfasts I've had. See: Plenty of sliced meat, fresh fruit, crusty bread, and of course my requisite chocolate croissants to keep a...

We landed at BCN, no worse for the wear, and retrieved our luggage. I exchanged some $$ for Euros at the currency exchange at the airport and also withdrew some $$/Euros from my debit card. Please don't use the currency exchange at the airport. The exchange rate is terrible. There must've been...

Departing & our Flights I couldn't believe THE day had arrived! I kept feeling like I was forgetting something and was especially unnerved knowing that there would not be a Wal-Mart right around the corner. Packing Tips: I used compression bags to pack tighter and I cross-packed half of...

Planning I LOVE planning! Who's with me??!? I neurotically researched and planned our all girls trip to WDW in 2010 and so was super excited to dig in to researching the cruise and all of our exciting ports of call! I am frugal by nature and always looking for a good deal, so in this trip...

Intro Hi all! On this cruise will be myself and DH, celebrating our 15 wedding anniversary. It is "technically" not my first cruise because I sailed on the Big Red Boat as a youngster, but that was more than 2 decades ago *cough*. So for all intents and purposes, it is like my first time...

    mediterranean noob ? Excusions

We are cruising the Med this May 31! I am a DIY kind of gal, but also a busy homeschooling Mama of 4 with an at-home business - so I didn't want to worry about planning every single detail. That being said, I decided to do 2 days DIY very minimalist, savoring fewer sites rather than rushing...

Last Minute Deals with Expensive Airfare?

Thank you; this all makes a lot of sense, especially the part about incenting those to cruise again who live close by and wouldn't cruise again without the great deal.

Last Minute Deals with Expensive Airfare?

Hi all! I've never been on a cruise as an adult but am booked for a 7 night Med in 2014 on the Magic! My general question is regarding booking "at the last minute", particularly guaranteed rooms. I see a 3 night Bahamas cruise that interests me in October which is VGT for 2A around 1k....but the...

Magic May 31, 2014 A Magical Voyage Around the Mediterranean

We are flying from Chicago (U.S.) - I am just wondering if more flights will open up since it "seems" so far off. Or are whatever flights already available the only ones which will ever be?

Magic May 31, 2014 A Magical Voyage Around the Mediterranean

Hi all! I am reporting for roll call. It will be myself & DH on this cruise for our 15th anniversary Once in a Lifetime vacation. It is our first cruise (although I did sail on The Big Red Boat as a youngster but I barely remember that) and our first time to Europe and our first time leaving...
