Discovery Down Under in Australia was awesome!!! my mom joined us for that one, and it was great.

I took my family on the discovery down under trip, a year and a half ago. (3 kids) it was an adventure of a lifetime. unforgettable trip and you should definitely go! I will recommend the sydney bridge climb. wow that was fantastic! Definitely something to try to work into your free time.

On my Australia trip, they made every accommodation they possibly could. I'm vegetarian, and there was always some sort of option. At the beginning of the tour I informed the guides of this and they said it was no problem what so ever.

We always travel with 4 epi pens ds is allergic to bees, and dd is allergic to pnut and tnuts. I have never been asked for a note. If you can't reach your allergist and you want to be on the safe side, i'm sure a regular ped. could write you a valid note. hope that helps a bit.

just make sure you have any liquids in a clear quart sized bag and have it ready to take out at security. Your good to go.

Well, we brought our suitcases that expand a few inches, but without the expansion, they actually fit in the carry on over head bins, but we did check baggage. I wouldn't say my kids are super neat :rotfl: But we definitely did not over pack. We did laundry in Cairns because the washing machine...

i used small suitcases and too bad for the kids. they can wear something twice!!! nobody will remember! i suggest packing light.

we flew thai air, from LAX. crazy flight! but it wasn't as bad as I had imagined. I slept the whole way almost, but the kids watched movies, played games, took pictures, listened to ipods and played the gameboy ds.

we also make each kid pack a change of clothes and a toothbrush in their carryons.

bring your own dvd player with movies of your choice! thats what we do. or if you have the personal screen then you have a great variety of selections

I agree with BoBo about looking at your seats. If you get to the airport and the minor is alone, i'm sure you can ask a stranger to switch (so like. if you have the isle and she has an isle, im sure the person in the middle would switch with her as long as they aren't with the person seated...
