As far as getting 1st time pins, you will have to go through the turnstiles in order to do this. We always try to go to Guest Relations in Downtown Disney on our arrival day if we need pins for that trip.

During our DTD trip we are planning on doing the hot air balloon. Something new for us and reasonably priced. If the kids had it their way it would be DQ though!

MNSSHP gets my vote too. My kids loved it. I would do AK in the morning. You should be able to get into MK for the party at 4 pm which gives you a good amount of time at MK.
