    sssssnakes-the real thing

We saw a small snake at Blizzard Beach - not in the lazy river but on one of the paths up to the slides. I hate snakes but this one was not very threatening. I certainly would not avoid a fun day at a water park because of the slight chance you might see a snake. Even if you saw one in the...

    Hotel Transfers

I have read that Disney will transport baggage between different resorts. Are the Swan/Dolphin or the downtown Disney hotels included in this service? My wife and daughter are staying at the Dolphin for a convention and need a different hotel room for their first night in Orlando. Thought...

    Rental Car Reservation ?

This is not in Orlando but I have a general rental car question that some of you may have some experience with. I need a minivan and Alamo has a current special but there are blackout dates. My pickup date is the last date of the blackout dates. On the website if I requested a reservation...

refillable mugs at Port Orleans questions

I thought they always were sister resorts for Mugs - even before the name change of Dixie. Of course you really are bringing up the endless topic of whether the mugs are lifetime or really just length of stay. On my two trips in the last year 1/2 I thought it was pretty clear the use was only...

This is the *NEW* Yacht & Beach Club Question & Answer Forum. Yea...we're still here.

I do find that hard to believe. We were inside several times in 4 days mostly because it seemed like that was where we had to go for what we wanted at the time. We got ice cream there once - filled mugs there more than once (standing in line for 15-20 minutes a couple times) and we got...

This is the *NEW* Yacht & Beach Club Question & Answer Forum. Yea...we're still here.

Just had a very nice stay at the Yacht Club but have one question - why don't they have a convenient way to refill the mugs. HH's closes early and dealing with the lines at B&C is a pain. This thread is too big to go all the way through but I was curious if anyone else has complained about...

    Mug Refills ?

Just got back from a quick convention trip to the YC/BC. Had a great time overall and generally loved the YC area. But one relatively small thing was really annoying to me. The only way to fill up your mug there was to go to the counter at the pool grill or Beaches and Cream - no self-serve...

    Epcot "side" Entrance

While I would not suggest parking at the Swan (or the YC/BC) I don't think it is inappropriate to park at the Boardwalk. To me the Boardwalk area with its shops and restaurants is a destination area itself and not just a hotel. I think there is parking space allotted there for that purpose...

New to DISboard, New to Disney. Looking for some help !

-----Where's the best place to park? I want to go to MGM/WDW/Epcot and Animal Kingdom. Friends told me that there are central locations to park and then there are shuttles and Monorails. Is that true? Probably easiest to park at the lots for each theme park. The MK parking lot is actually...

    DD Dining

Looking for suggestions for a reasonably quick, informal and not too expensive place to eat before Cirque du Soleil in Downtown Disney. Something in between McDonalds and the Portobello Yacht Club?

    Ohana for just adults?

I have a large group of adults at WDW for a convention. Wanted to eat at the California Grill and then watch the fireworks from there but could not get the entire group in at a single time. Also tried Artist Point and Jiko but they only take large groups (we have 18) at the very early times...

First Night at WDW- Where To EAT?

If you want the "Disney" experience I would say Chef Mickeys in the CR. The 4 year old will love it. Otherwise you might want to try one of the Downtown Disney restaurants.

    Emerald Aisle @ National Car

I have found the EA service to be terrific. Never got a van or really anything bigger than a full-size car but that is OK. There were always full-size cares there to pick from and the check-out, check-in procedure is very fast and easy.

    Disneyana Mystery?

Someone mentioned this in a post below as occurring at EPCOT between 8/22-26. We will be there then and this is a new term to me. What is Disneyana Mystery?

    ? for National Experts

I am an EC member and have always used the Emerald Aisle service in Orlanda and have used Emerald Choice elsewhere also. I had an EA reservation but with information from mousesavers I have now booked at a lower rate using a Product Rate Code that apparently only works if you go in the regular...

    NEW Wilderness Lodge FAQ!!

I am trying to put together a large group dinner for a non-park day and thinking about Artist Point. My question is whether or not Wilderness Lodge by the lake is a good place to view the MK fireworks? Thought that might be a fun thing to do after we eat.

Emerald Isle questions for a newbie!

For a compact you should be able to elect the Emerald Choice option as an EC member and bypass the counter. It works just like Emerald Aisle except you have to take your car out of the aisle for your specific category - Compact in this case. A very quick and easy process.

    CBR vs. YC?

DW & I are going to a convention at the YC in August. We are arriving 1 day early and I booked a room for a single night at CBR using a codes for a $94 rate. The final convention registration material just arrived and they have arranged a group rate for additional nights at the YC for $150+tax...

    Rental Car Question

With your DC membership you can join National's Emerald Club for free and get DC discounts that amount to about 20%. Check mousesavers.com for information on other rental car discounts. For a 5 day trip having the rental car is not much more expensive than just the alternative round trip...
