Finally booked a passholder rate for exterior poolside suite for week of Aug 6. School in area begins around august 10 so I am sure they will have passhoder rates for all room types mid-August available soon.

The way it's been in the past is you get the universal site price towards your seasonal pass paying the UT ticket price. You must use the UT ticket at least one day first before upgrading to get the universal price towards the AP. Pretty sure it should be the same this year

Looks like Uberx would be about $31 from airport to universal hotel. With info from here booked Tony Hinds for family of 4 adults and two children for $100 round trip. With possible grocery stop this seems like a great deal.
