Tell me more about Whispering Canyon & Boma

I'm researching restaurants for possible adrs in May 2007. We want to check out WL while we're there and thought we'd go to Whispering Canyon. Read a thread where it mentioned "shy kids" shouldn't probably not go. Why? Anyone whose been there know why? Also wondering about Boma (we want to...

Cereal served at breakfast character meals?

Thanks for the info - sounds like Donald's Breakfastaurus is a better place for us or any buffet. We might do dinner meals instead. Thanks again. :goodvibes

Cereal served at breakfast character meals?

Just wondering if cereal, fruit and toast are served at the character meals. My kids will not eat eggs, pancakes, etc. My son will have bacon but hes the only one. We want to go to the character breakfast at Ohana for Lilo and Stitch but I don't want to spend the money if they won't eat! TIA

Poly and same day laundry service

I know there are laundry facilities at the resorts to do our own laundry. But I've read theres a same day laundry service available but that it is expensive. Anyone know how expensive? Just curious - sounds great for someone else to do the laundry for a change! TIA!

Best WDW restaurants for little ones

I apologize theres probably a thread for this already - can't get the search to work for me. :confused3 Just curious as to what restaurants are good for little ones - we have 3 kids ages 2, 4, & 7. I have a list started on ones we want to go to but I don't want to spend alot of time in...

Make ADR on first night at WDW or relax?

The day we arrive at WDW is also my daughter's second b-day. We're not sure what to do - whether to schedule Chef Mickey's (I'll order a b-day cake) on our first night there or to hang around our resort & relax. I'm sure the kids would like to go swimming and then we could get something at our...

    ADR rules

I want to make sure I have this correct. We have ressies at the Poly next spring. To make ADRs I can call 180 days + 10 days in advance. So I can call 190 days from arrival date to make all my ADRs. Is that right? Sorry - for some reason I find this confusing. :confused3

    Mickey's Backyard Barb-b-q not a dinner show?

Yesterday we tried to book Mickey's Backyard Bar-b-que - its less then 365 days away-wanted May 17th. Couldn't do it because it was too soon - we are visiting WDW in May 2007. Everything I read says we can book 1 yr in advance for dinner shows. We were told this was seasonal and it was too...

for those of you who can't get CRT-- 1900 is great!

I was just wondering if 1900 Park Fare is dressy or casual? Anyone wear princess dresses? I have two daughters ages 2 & 4 who would love this but not sure if I want to bring their princess dresses. Hoping casual is okay.

    Any spilt stay experiences?

Wondering if anyone can report on their spilt stay. Did it run smoothly? We currently have ressies at the Poly for next spring but I am still torn over whether to stay at BCV (I'm a non dvc person) mainly because of the kitchen/washer dryer. I have 3 kids 6 and under and I think they go...

    What is Concierge?

Are concierge rooms worth the extra price? I know they're snacks/beverges and the sort but are there any services? Do they help you plan your trip and help with ADRs prior to arrival? We're staying at the Poly May 2007 and currently booked gv room but thinking of upgrading to the concierge...

    Package or separate bookings

We did look into this. It sounds like a really good deal. We really want to stay at the Poly this time. If we did do this I wanted to try VWL or BCV probably. One thing about renting points that "bothered" me was that someone else is in control of my vacation and the fact I would be basing...

    Package or separate bookings

Just wondering whether a package would be better for a family of 5 (2 adults 3 children) or booking resort, airfare & tickets separately is cheaper? We're not going until May 2007 and we hope to stay at the Poly. We have booked room only reservations thru WDWT and were thinking of making a...

    Planning ADRs around EMH

Just curious how others schedule ADRs around EMH. If MK has an a.m. EMH, do you schedule a character breakfast/ADR then or do you have a quick breakfast at resort and then take advantage of the EMH? From reading some other threads, some people avoid morning EMHs altogether. Now about evening...

Hats off to those who can make ADRs

It would seem that since people staying at their resorts and paying rates they could get a chance to eat at their resort's restaurant. Thats what concerns me the most - we're staying at the Poly so we're going to definitely make ADRs for there.

Any recommendations of FAA car seat?

My daughter will be turning 1 soon and will need a new carseat. We're going to WDW next spring so I thought I'd post a question and see what others have used for a car seat on the airplane flight. I know most car seats are FAA approved - didn't know if anyone had success with any particular...

Hats off to those who can make ADRs

Didn't mean to start anything! To each his own. We'll be making ADRs just not for everyday. I'll check out Tour Guide Mike and make some decisions (thanks for the tips). I am a compulsive planner but with 3 young kids, its hard to know what mood they'll be in. There are many variables to...

Hats off to those who can make ADRs

How does anyone plan for their meals 180 days in advance? Do they publish the Extra Magic Hours that far in advance? Besides the character meals and dinner shows I don't see us booking 180 days in advance for lunch/dinner. I suppose for Chef Mickey's we might or Ohana but we've always done...
