***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Window decorations?? I'm planning on bringing a whole tree! :santa: I have a 3 or 4' mini tree I plan to bring in our luggage. DH keeps saying "No absolutely not", but we both know he isn't going to be doing any of the packing. :rolleyes1
Are you guys driving down?

I'm going to be in a real pickle with ROL FP.. I have one AK day planned on 12/3. That evening I our SW dessert party. I have 2 other evenings open for ROL but my FP are booked for other parks!!!

11/27 _ we have a 5:30 'Ohana after dinner is open for ROL or Illuminations. I could drop 'Ohana for a ROL dinner pakage ..

12/2 - same options open for evening activities

The rest of my evenings are booked! I could possibly do 12/5... If there is a late showing maybe 11/28 after fantasmic. But I don't see how I can get a FP! Unless it's on 12/3

@tacobelle :welcome:

I have the same issue since my one AK day is on 12/3 and I'm planning (hoping!) for SW dessert party that night. If there isn't a late showing sometime later in the week, I'll have to cancel an ADR to see ROL.

yes, we're the same date!

I am in a good position to book a RoL FP+ because the day I have planned for it is my morning EMH day at HS so I can do the Tier 1's I am interested in and SDFP everything else (availability is good on them usually) but I, too, am hoping for a late enough show as I have a 5pm CA Grill and would need like an 8pm show to make it work. hoping.

I'll remember that, FP+ buddy! I kind of hate that it's on a Monday. Monday's are tough enough without having to get up early and try to get FP's! :lmao:

I found an 'Ohana randomly for 8 at 620 on 12/8. I also have a 4:30 Via Napoli CP dinner package. Remember we are seeing CP in the prior week on 12/2. We've never eaten at 'Ohana, so that would fun, but in the same time, I do want to be in Epcot one last night before we depart the next day. Suggestions?

I know via napoli is a huge favorite on these boards but I am highly disinclined to have pizza on vacation. to me it's just not special enough.

Why is it that you want to be in Epcot "at night"? Is it for illuminations? If so 6:20ADR should be enough time to have dinner and return for illuminations after a day in epcot. You can even take the monorail from Epcot to TTC and walk 5 min to poly and do the same in reverse. I would take the 'Ohana!

Hmm... that's tough... if you really want to be at Epcot that day, you Via Napoli would be the choice. With a 6:10 ohana, are you still going to go back to Epcot after? Might still be doable but apparently ohana is notorious for running late. The travel takes a lot of time from the park touring too.

it's hard getting your ADRs to match your 'flow'. I have a hard time with our last night too as you may have read, LOL!

it's 7am isn't it? I am up at 6:30 anyway and I am kind of still trying to wake up that time of day but also getting my child fed and medicated (on a pretty strict schedule on school days). But luckily I can bark at him "make your toast" and make FEA and 7DMT FP+ and then get him situated and make the rest. :rotfl:priorities!

Really the only one i am worried about is FEA because I am looking for 60+3, kind of early in my trip. I am looking for it late in the day though (planned that way on purpose) so hopefully 7:15-8:15ish timeframe on 12/5 will be doable.

7DMT I want to do on party night, my last FP+ before the party, so that is toward the end of my trip, but I will be looking for 5:30-6:30 on 12/8. um... I really need to figure out the rest and not sure when I am going to have time to as BF is home again tonight, we are driving to NY friday and BF will be here sunday night. I have a vague idea, I just need to really write it down I think.

I suggest you have a backup plan for this. I wasn't able to get 7DMT in that timeslot for my party night as I was planning to. It was the 3rd FP I attempted to make, after the 2 FEAs. I ended up getting BTMRR instead in that timeslot.

here is a crack at my FP+ desires with ADRs

12/3 (saturday)
(morning EMH AK)
9:20am Tusker House
9:00-10:00am It's tough to be a bug
12:00-1:00pm Kilimanjaro Safari
1:30-1:50pm Festival of the Lion King
3:00pm Yak & Yeti
SWaGS dessert party

12/4 (sunday)
(morning EMH HS)
11:15am Sci Fi
no FP+ - saving for RoL (but may figure something out if RoL isn't opening - but planning my tier 1s for earlier in the day)
5:00pm CA Grill
hoping for RoL

12/5 (monday)
(long epcot day)
10:00-11:00am The Seas with Nemo
(trying to pair with a 10:30ish SDFP for Turtle Talk, anything that will get me in before coral reef)
11:35am Coral Reef w/CP package
1:30-2:30pm Mission Space
5:00pm Candlelight Processional
6:20pm Biergarten
7:15-8:15pm FEA

12/6 (tuesday)
(rest day)
9:35am 'Ohana breakfast
Disney Springs
4:30pm H&V Seasonal Dine w/F! package
5:30-6:30pm TSMM
F!

12/7 (wednesday)
(epcot morning, switchover bwv-poly, MK afternoon/evening)
10:00am Garden Grill
11:00am-12:00pm Soarin'
only making that one so I can make 2 more at MK for that night
5:30pm Narcoossees
hoping to be able to make space mountain and peter pan earlier in the day for that night and SDFP for buzz, tomorrowland speedway and pooh... peter pan is a long shot but it's not a critical because I will be making an advance one later... there are late hours this day so I have a chance at it or just go standby later in the night.

12/8 (thursday)
(rest day, MVMCP)
10:00am Whispering Canyon Cafe breakfast
swimming
3:30pm 'Ohana Dinner
4:30-5:30 Space Mountain (will swap for HM if I can if I get space mountain same day the day before)
5:30-6:30 7DMT
(a little worried I might miss this peter pan FP+ if 'Ohana runs long although I shouldn't being at the first seating... I need to think about that... but should be able to get there by 5:45 I think... comments? I also wanted to ride PP at least once standby because the queue is supposed to be very cool, hoping I can do that maybe last thing during evening EMH at MK the night before in which case it will be less critical)

12/9 (friday)
(MK)
9:50am Crystal Palace
11am-12pm Peter Pan
12:00-1:00pm Big Thunder Mountain
1:00-2:00pm Splash Mountain
(planning to SDFP jungle cruise, magic carpets of aladdin and pirates starting at around 1:30pm but will try to make magic carpets between jungle cruise and pirates as my 4th FP+ after we scan into splash mountain).
6:15pm HDDR

I really need to take a close look at MK because it is the one I have given the least attention to.

how far into your trip was it?

how far into your trip was it?

My 4th park day. My check in date is 11/27 and MVMCP date is 12/1. I prioritized those FPs after FEA because I had a 7DMT in there, and the times needed to be pretty exact to fit 3 in. I would've been happy fitting just 2 in if needed because the times wouldn't work out. Keep that in mind too. But you can easily modify to better times after you have the FP reservations for most attractions.

Thanks! I think I'll hold onto both for now, and then wait and see later what we want to do.

I think this is so true about uber planners being in the minority. I never knew about planning for Disney before a friend told me it was a must, and I'm a planner. I just didn't know it was so necesary- it didn't used to be when I was younger.

My cousins are going to Disney this weekend for four days. I asked them last weekend what park they were going to do when and they hadn't even thought about it. They didn't even know about the MK closing early some nights for parties. They are meeting some friends there and I asked them what parks their friends were planning on. The response they got from their friends was "we don't care, you pick." They have no plan, no ADRs and no fast passes booked.

My father and stepmother are taking their children and grandchildren down to Disney. We just need to pay for airfare. Anyway, I've taken the reign of trip organizer. However, when ADR came around, hardly any of them booked besides our two family meals. Now that FP selection is this weekend, they have all declined. They are all keeping it up in the air and deciding on what park to do when they get down there. It's been killing me, but at this point, it's like beating a dead horse. So my DH and I have organized our trip the way we want (parents told us we have freedom to do whatever, just be there for organized family meals) so that's what we're going to do. Hopefully our plans will sometime collide with their last minute decision. However, we will be waving at them for attractions we have FP for and they wait in the longer line.

I'm having the same issue with fp+ for Rapunzel. Checked every day from 11/23 to 12/8.
I'm having the same problem. I called Disney and one operator was checking and hung up on me. Another operator told me they must have all been booked because "they are very popular". She must not have heard me when I told her I checked at 7 am for the evening of the 10th day of our trip.

Thanks! I think I'll hold onto both for now, and then wait and see later what we want to do.
that's a good idea. you can decide the day before even how you feel... whether you are tired and want to end your epcot day (or leave for a while) or whether you want to stay in Epcot. it's the last day of your trip so it gives you flexibility to see how you are feeling the day before.

Where can I find a copy of MVMCP schedule for show time and etc? How about character meet location (who and where) in each park?

Thanks!

I have 6 out of 10 days that I'm currently holding an extra ADR. :rolleyes1

My daughter was recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction (back in July) I only found out the other day cleaning her room. Her Aunt bought us a second set of MVMCP tickets as a reward. So now we're going on both 12/1 and 12/4. :flower1:

maybe i will swap peter pan for party night and 7dmt for my last day. that would be fine. I am totally open the last day too, doesn't MUCH matter what time I do it.
