News Round Up 2016

Sorry for the barrage of posts. They are testing the water for the screens, the lotus floats are currently out AND an EE CM just said to his coworker "I'm working rivers tonight. I get to see the show though." So I think the show is very close.

ETA: Take this with a hefty helping of salt, but my DH says 3 CMs told him they've been told ROL hard deadline is Saturday.

Oh please, please, please! We will be in AK on Sunday. I would love to see ROL.

It won't be that soon.

I really wouldn't be surprised if it was that soon with all the action going on there tonight. They were clearly doing a show after the park closed... By the time we left it was very obvious. I've also never seen so many managers in a park. I think by the time we walked out there were more managers than guests!

It definitely will be soon but not this Saturday soon at least from what I've seen.

I don't like being down on too many changes - but this really, really blows. (They already did away with the BB direct bus.) As @saskdw said - who wants to be waiting at a bus stop for 20 minutes in their bathing suits. This is after waiting at the TL or BB bus stops as well. That and all the money it costs to go to a water park for a day? I do not like this at all.

Personally, I love this change because it means the trip from Disney Springs back to the resort is 15ish minutes shorter because it no longer stops at Typhoon Lagoon. I get why it's incredibly annoying for water park guests. But, it's great for Disney Springs guests.

I get that - because the DTD sucked as well. (And travelling to DAK for rope drop and having to stop at BB used to stink as well.)

I agree with the theory that maybe there should be a couple of dedicated buses that are on a regular schedule.

You could have maybe 5 loops:
MK resorts (WL, Cont.,Poly, GF)
Epcot resorts (S&D,BC&YC,BW)
DTD resorts (SSR, OWK, POR, POFQ)
Etc...

Then have that loop run on a 1 hour schedule for each WP.
ie:
10:00 AM WL
10:08 Contemp
10:15 Poly
10:20 GF
10:40 TL
11:00 WL and repeat
That way you know if you are staying at the Poly, be at the bus for 10:15 and if you want to return to the Poly, be at the stop at say 2:40, and if not then 3:40. This is probably still more buses than the single one probably now on a loop, but it would be a lot faster for most guests.

Oh well, we're not going to the WPs this trip.

:rolleyes1 - yup they probably just got another $20 out of me with that one! And I don't drink coffee. Will have to start drinking my alcohol out of a mug. Actually the BTM one is pretty cool also. (Generally I like the 28th and main Merch a lot.
At first my husband thought it it was sacrilegious to drink red wine out of a DUMBO cup...ha ha ha...but....that my WINE cup!
