2017 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend

I will change/cancel within next few days. It's more about wanting freedom this trip but I want decant food also so it's hard. It has nothing to do with training and 100% to do with trip in general

For those who have run Princess weekend before, what time were you finished with both the 10k and Half? I'm trying to figure out if I should make any type of dining reservations or not :confused3

In addition to what everyone else said, if you do make a reservation, factor in the amount of time you may take stopping for pictures. I run a 2:30 half, but I spent 4 hours on the course for Princess because I stopped for nearly every picture. And because I spent so much longer on the course than I planned, afterwards I felt pretty terrible. I met up with friends at Epcot (who were drinking around the world - oy), and I didn't really feel like a person again until the afternoon.

There is plenty of decent food at quick service, and sometimes you can even get a walkup at a table service. Honestly, I do about 1 (or less) table service per trip. I eat just fine.

Secured all of my dinner ADRs - woohoo. Ready to eat bland pasta and Sanaa Bread Service

I will say that dinner ADRs seem to be very plentiful at the moment - was really surprised more runners aren't eating, but I guess it's the richness of the food that could be a deterrent.

Yeah...I eat turkey and mashed potatoes in the food court. I pretty much eat like an old lady. lol

I ended up only making 2 ADRs this morning... San Angel Inn for Sunday night and BOG for Monday night (our last dinner...boo!).

Has anyone been to San Angel? Mexican food is my absolute favorite, so I thought that'd be a fun treat post-race. Is it worth it? I was tempted to make a Yak & Yeti ADR for Friday night, but I'm not sure what time the new AK nighttime show will be, so I thought we'd try the Y&Y QS that night.

We really like San Angel. It's a nice ambience. Food is good. We usually share an appetizer and entree .... With our own tequila flights.

This sounds like the perfect pre-race option for me... thanks for sharing! :-)

You're welcome! POR has a kids meal with that. It comes with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies, and cornbread. I don't know how much you eat, but the kid's size is plenty for me, and lot cheaper! It's actually really good. I don't feel like I'm missing out on eating anything.

I haven't been there for years, but I liked it a lot. It's your usual Mexican food, but the atmosphere is fantastic.

Hello all! Not sure where to post this so please direct me if there's a better place. I'm running the Princess 5K and need info about packet pick-up. How do I get from Bay Lake to ESPN Wide World of Sports??

You can either drive yourself over or take a bus from your resort.

My friend and I are going for just 3 days and only 1 day in the park. The one reservation we really wanted was Be Our Guest on 26th for dinner and we are out of luck:worried::sad1::sad:

Bummer. If you're willing to do a late lunch you can get in as a party of 2 and can kind of have the same experience. I love the lunch more than the dinner, so... at least you'd be IN the restaurant at 2:25p

Yikes! I had thought it was at Disney Springs for some reason. :( Had even booked dinner there for Friday night after packet pickup. Do buses run to ESPN from all the resorts? Do they go to Disney Springs from ESPN?

I got all my ADR too. Although I might have to change Friday night now since I didn't know about ESPN. :worried:
We have Morimoto for Friday night. Park 1900 for Saturday post-race. Hoop Dee Doo for Sunday night. BOG for Monday evening and Kona on our departure morning (Wednesday).
