i saw people mentioning the kong got an express pass line. Is this true? can someone confirm the change of the single rider line to express pass?

We rode Kong with EP this morning!

Since today was the first time we've ever seen Kong, I don't know if the EP line is in the place that the SR line was. All I know is that it was there and the TM said they just got it.

that is awesome news...i was worried about how to fit this into the day without ep but that just made me feel a lot better.

It was good for us, too. We were behind for EE today b/c I had to get my plastic APs and my son wouldn't wake up when he said he wanted to wake up, so by the time we got to Kong it was well after 9 and the wait time said 90 minutes. UGH. And then I saw THE sign. :)

This is such fantastic news, thanks for sharing!! I was just panicking a bit as I saw they posted EE hours for October, and for some reason none are at IOA the whole month. Really really don't want to wait like 90 min for a ride if we can help it!

I was also at IOA today and used both Express Pass and single rider at Kong. They start as the same queue and divide in two further into the building. I suspect that they will not offer single rider at Kong as a permanent feature; like Spider-Man and Gringotts, you may see single rider operating, or you may not.

That must have been the reason for the conversation snippet I heard as we passed by two TMs who were saying something like "so how do you tell the difference between..." They were standing at a break where someone could be let through.

That line reminded me of Indiana Jones at DL. (and the outside structure looked like it could have been the Lord of the Rings ride they had asked about in a survey about 5 years ago...made me sad for what could have been)

No, you still get the full experience using the Express queue.

Full experience of the full line? Hmm. I felt that we were in a long dark corridor almost the whole time.

Took a picture entering EP line at 9:08, we were fully out of the ride at 9:23 just now. Stated 30 minute standby time.

They have different guides/narration, so the ride had a bit more "re-ride-ability" than I thought yesterday.

And the line is just a long dark hallway or two. Then again, maybe the standby line is, too. :)

i am so happy. i was worried about the lines but since we are staying at RPR i will have the EP . You can't see it right now but I am :dancer:

This!! Why, oh why, has nobody made the ride where I can have an up-close and personal encounter with Aragorn?!?!?!

Why hello, Aragorn. ;). Universal would probably lean into the sex appeal rather than run away from it like Disney did when they got rid of most Jack Sparrow meets. :)

I too would love one with an up close and personal Aragorn lol.

Oh how I'd adore a LOTR ride! But you ladies can fight over Aragon while I'm off with Legolas...yummy!

Security might be a problem for meet and greets - I could elbow my way past that Arwen chick so fast it would make her head swim :)

Sorry for the error. I remembered the single-rider queue being a long hallway of nothing, but thought the Express included all the preshow elements. I guess they were both about the same. Memory must have faded from all the walking around outside in August weather.

Express line blends into the main line where the old man is talking about Kong. Then you go through the remainder of the queue. I would say it took about 25 minutes for express. The regular line was I think 1 hour and 9 minutes or 109 minutes. This was on Friday 8/26 at about 5:30 PM
