We were in room 2614. Last year we were in room 3613 and the year before 3614. I'd be happy to email you a pic of our room view if you PM your email address. I tried to attach a picture here but I'm having trouble resizing the photo.

Yes, I'll do that. Thanks so much!! :disrocks:

Any noise issues in the Moorea longhouse with the TTC being so close by? Wanting to stay at a lake view studio in the spring but not if it's noisey. Thanks!

We stayed Moorea garden view last year and the noise of the boat horn didn't bother us at all. We heard it, just didn't bother us. Guess we were happy to put our heads to the pillow after long days at the parks.

We had that problem as well. The past 3 or 4 trips (we are talking 2005, 2008, 2013) my dh has removed the fridge from its enclosed case where there is no air flow and set it against/nearthe wall by the sofa bed. Our stuff never got cold until he did that so after checking the room for cleanliness, bed for bed bugs he moves the fridge. He does put it back before we check out.

Sounds like something my DH would do. I'll tell him if we experience any fridge problems. Thanks!

Not always. That's their eventual goal but it's not there yet. You could do Online Check In, complete all the prerequisites, the room could be ready and yet some guests will still have to stop by the front desk.

Nobody knows how they decide who gets to Bypass The Front Desk and who doesn't.

I don't know if there's a difference with DVC, but as long as we have our magic bands, if our room was ready, we never had to stop at the front desk.

We were in 3029, which is the other end of Moorea from the TTC and while we did hear the boat horn, it wasn't enough to bother us. And I don't recall ever hearing the monorail.

Staying at the Poly for the first time December 12-18! So excited! Going with the girlfriend and she thinks we're staying at Caribbean Beach (as we did this past March), but this should be a good surprise :)

What a great surprise. We love CBR, but the Poly is amazing....you will love it! Happy planning :wizard:.

We had trouble with our frig a couple years ago. It never did get cold, we just gave up. I was going to report it but didnt want to take the time to wait on them to come and check it out. We were in the Niue building.

That was the problem we had. Put in water, butter, milk and none of it was cold. I want to say we were in Tokelau for a few and Ratonga (sp) for another trip.

Thanks! The problem is I already have almost everything planned, so now I have to just anxiously count down the days. :fish:It's killing me!

I've booked a standard view Deluxe Studio. What location (floor, building, etc) is best to "preference" during online check-in?

One of my favorite parts of a vacation is getting up early and drinking my coffee.... alone, enjoying the view from wherever we are staying.

I've never been to the Poly before. My plan is go get up and get my newly purchased Polynesian mug filled with coffee from Kona Island. Any suggestions on a great place to sit and enjoy it?

Love an early morning coffee at the Poly sitting at one of the tables adjacent to the marina in front of the Tonga longhouse. There is a grove of bamboo near the entrance to Aotearoa at the end of Fiji longhouse, and as the early morning breeze blows... they sing. It is one of my favourite sounds as I get a hectic day started slowly over a quiet Kona coffee. ;)

Tokelau is most central, so would be a good choice as you might get a pool view as easily as a garden view. We stayed Moorea garden view and it was lovely (it also has the DVC laundry for all three buildings so this was a big plus for us, especially with three kids). Either of these would be best to request. You risk a parking lot view if you request Pago Pago.

I also liked upper floor with a balcony rather than a first floor patio. I believe both second and third floors have balconies in the DVC buildings. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

If she didn't love you to pieces already, your girlfriend will now! Good call! :thumbsup2

Love that bamboo! And love, love, love early morning at the Poly. I always get up super early - while my sleepy head family is still snoozing - and walk around the Poly. Everything is so calm and peaceful and it's so exciting knowing the day is just beginning and I have a whole day of magic to look forward to!

We'll be back at the Poly in 18 days and I can't wait!!!
