Increased ticket prices coming soon?

I was thinking something like that as well...perhaps may as a target for tiering better suits the goal.

Brazil isn't gonna be an issue for much longer. Their credit system will collapse under just about anything at this point.

How bad is Brazil off?

Wouldnt that make Brazil (or the lack of it) an issue for much longer?

As for how bad Brazil is, at least in regards to travelling to disney...very, very bad. The dolar is now worth literally a little over twice what it was (1 dolar= 4 reais). Imagine a disney thats twice as expensive, ouch. To make matter worse, most brazilians go to disney with tour packages, right? Well, those now have a 25% tax.

BOLD = what I was saying
Italics = invalidated because of what I was saying

The current states of specifically studios and Epcot are downright sad...and if You say "we get more out of it still"...realize that it is due to things built when the Disneys or Eisner were in charge...and you now pay 200-400% for those things. That is not "standard inflation"

So the argument I made - you get less...is really hard to disprove unless you want to make the argument sitting on your brain.

I apologize that apparently I was ground zero for a 3 page rant I wasn't involved in and for ONCE...it wasn't really my fault.

Not back to the topic at hand...when are they gonna jack the rates on parks that are ripped apart and less of a value than they ever have been $ for $...

Carry on. ;)

HaHa yea thanks for nothing now. Those of us (and there's a lot) arriving in the evening at DHS get way more done now so were good. :thumbsup2

Ticket prices and resort prices could also increase relating to FP+, its not off the table IMO.

People overestimate just how big Brazil is to wdw. A LARGE part of brazilians traveling overseas visit Florida (50%) and wdw...but it doesn't account for much at wdw...I think it was speculated at 5% a few years back.

Michigan poses as much of a threat (no offense to Michigan...if I wanted to make fun of a state there are many more worthy)...

The Brazilian issue is that they cluster on the calendar and disproportionately stay on property...and don't leave.

But it's reportedly REALLY bad down there. As in it's been suggested during some of the World Cup/Olympic analysis that they may - literally - throw up their hands once the torch goes out.

They've only Had consumer credit since 1990...meaning it's roughly as old as nafta and the www...

Can you imagine the US (aye?) if we would have had novelty credit during the tech explosion? We would be gone...in the line with Puerto Rico instead of trying to ignore who's in the line.

I think the disconnect is that you are saying we are paying for fpp+ In the ticket costs...and that's why we are all at odds.

Fast pass is in there...always has been. But it's pennies on the dollars. It's just a small operational tool
Like toilet paper and napkins. Most of the ticket costs - 100% to overhead more or less - is to supply and mostly offsetting employee costs. And the gift shops sales go to stock price or financially other wings of the Disney portfolio...that's the model.

Interesting, I was told by more than one person (including CMs) that it was one of the nationalities that most visited wdw. Sadly with no official numbers we cant really be certain. As for staying on property, Im pretty sure thats not true of most tour groups at least

You know the expression beating a dead horse??? ;)

"Most visited"?

Lol...they mean "other than the 85% white guys"

As far as tour groups...there are 15 locations and about 35,000 hotel rooms on wdw property...and there are about 500 and several hundreds of thousands off.
When wdw was announced in the 1960's...there were about 50,000 people in the area. Couple of million now. Orlando is what it is because of wdw. There's little evidence to suggest anything else.

Just...what? Am I misunderstanding or did you just say brazilians arent white?

Err, dunno why youre mentioning orland is what it is because of wdw, I never said anything about the opposite. Also, it seems there was a misunderstanding on my part here? When I hear people talk of staying on-property at wdw, I assume this means one of the disney hotels (AS, POP, AoA, POR, AKL etcetcetc) and I was saying I think that most brazilian tour groups dont stay in those

Well they've really cut back on the napkins already. Remember when they had logos and even were restaurant specific? This is the regime of give us every penny you have and we'll give you as few frills as possible.

Right..."white guy" wasn't the right term..."non-descript people of Anglo- speaking origin"...not just "white guys"...my bad.

My point about Orlando is that it's a travel town and many more people filter into wdw than stay on it. Around here you would think everyone stays on property...the reality is its too expensive for many if not most.

You are totally correct actually. My stance would be meaningless if we could have gone into the park to get FP for that evening. It's just hard to do when we are doing other things as posted, like US or Clearwater etc. That problem is solved.

But I wouldn't mind deluxe getting a 4th, or a Pandora Package or Star Wars package, even purchase like US. Have to be down the road when more attractions open of course.

Ah, you're using on property to mean in the city, so you're saying many people that go to wdw dont stay in orlando?

No...I mean "on property" as it's always used...hotels residing on land purchases by Walt Disney and associates starting in the 1960's.

"Off property" means the plethora of other operations surrounding the incorporated town of lake Buena vista, Fl in all directions.

My point is that many tour groups domestically don't stay on property...while the brazilians brokers do it almost exclusively in wdw hotels. That means they are more of a "captive" audience and are there every time you turn around...comparatively speaking.

Ah well, sorry but we'll have to agree to disagree then. I think most brazilian groups do not stay on property

You may be right...it would be impossible to get real data.

What i believe is that it's "disproportional" in the case of Brazilian based touring companies. That could be 40%...but that still could be disproportionally high

A lot do though. I had a cousin marathon weekend 2015 had to switch rooms on the final night of her stay because a group of brazilians left the water on in the shower and flooded the room at all star sports I believe it was. The water seeped down to her room and she didn't find out until 10 PM when they got back to the parks so 11 PM at night they are moving to a new room. I would imagine they stay on property and off depending on the tour group.
