Hey everyone I'm two days in and I have fallen in love with this resort! I will post more soon when I get back. Howeve, the hype is real and what people have said is true ...Aulani is beautiful form top to bottom...

My only complaignts is everything for adults pretty much closes at 8 pm :/

Can't wait to hear more about your trip! I'll be at Aulani in THREE WEEKS! :cool1:

Any questions until the review please feel free to ask.

It will be the most relaxing enjoyable vacation you've ever had. Remember that image of Hawaii you were always sold? Well Disney has it full and alive here.

The culture the people and the music all beautiful

I agree, the only thing that would make it more perfect would be too leave at last the lazy river and pools open later.
Something about floating through the sparkling lights with Hawaiian music playing softly in the background...
Enjoy your trip!

I feel like the OP. DW and I were there in October 2015. I wanted to go back after being home only a few weeks. It would have been fewer days than that, but we are from FL and it was a long flight there and back. I agree with everyone. I wish the water area was open until 10 or 11 pm.

Since most everything closes down, is there anything to do in Ko Olina after 8:00?

Monkey pod across the steet has entertainment and the starlight hui nights extend the Magic a bit longer - uncle tells stories at 9 but it only lasts about 15 minutes.

Again, perfect for families. For adults I believe that they can offer more variety of night time entertainment!

Yes the water area closes way too early. They could just have the main pool open later that way people could swim later and it won't cost that much to have one pool that closes late. A couple of life guards is about all it will cost. People are paying a lot of money I think they could afford to pay a couple of life guards a few more hours a day.

Any hesitations book now don't let anything hold you back! Any questions feel free I'll have a VERY in depth review with photos when I get back!

Best resort I've ever stayed at!

Can't wait to read the review :-). We are hoping to be able to score two weeks there for February 2017 when our seven month window opens in May!

When we were there the main pool was open until 11 pm. Apparently this has changed? The lazy river did close at 8 pm, though.

Perhaps the pool is open later during busier times of the year and during the summer. I was ok with the pool and entertainment stopping early as I was going to bed earlier due to my normal body clock and jet lag. Also, the evenings cooled off so although the pool is warmed, you did get a chill getting out.

Yes I know the lifeguards said peak times they leave them open - but if it were just me I could see it being an issue, however everyday there was a whole hot tub of people just enjoying the resort and conversation.

Everyone was bummed out when that 8pm came. To a lot of people I was conversing with it was a time when the little ones were in bed to come hang out while either mom/dad had a nap with them.

I just saw this as a missed opportunity to have maybe a poolside service at night for adults to enjoy as well.

I had the BEST conversations in that hot tub the people staying at the resort were such beautiful people from all over it wa amazing and I was schooled many many times about how good dvc was!

Again one of my few cons is how I wish the adults only section was opened until 10.

When we went it was mid=September, not exactly a busy time and the pools were open until 11 pm.

Looking forward to your detailed review!! Right now Aulani is just a dream for me but I'm taking notes!

33 days for us!! I'm afraid I won't want to leave either! I hope the pools are open later for spring break as I have teens who love to swim!

Yes that's my only other thing as there's nothing really for the teens to do - but hey relaxing and enjoying the awesome slides should be fun :). I hope the pools are open later for you guys as well.

Trust me, I understand the main pools but for the 18+ 10 pm would have been a good time
