DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

I was away for the weekend, visiting my wife's family in Branson, MO. I was trying to catch up on the thread, and had a bout 50 multi-quotes ready to reply to.

Then I got to this one and thought, "Super Bowl? nah hardly watched it. Mardi Gras? Nah drove back late Monday night and went to a crawfish boil instead. Death by Snoo Snoo?! Absolutely!

You think she's going to canoodle him to death? Well, I can think of worse ways to go...

You guys up North, shut the door, it is freezing down here! What you think I am made of, money?!

Not sure what is up with DW... in our 22 years of marriage we have NEVER gone out on Valentine's day. This year we have booked a room at the oceanfront for Sunday night. When I told her that it is going to be too cold to walk the boardwalk (High of 29 for Sunday and lows in the teens) she said "That's ok... I didn't plan to leave the room anyway" :genie:
Not sure if this is a setup.... I asked if I was going with her. :lmao:

::yes::

Funny you mentioned that Don. Today was my seventh month window and the 15 night, Boardwalk 1 bedroom villa is confirmed !!!! Yes, just Tammy and I !!!!
Briana needs to branch out. Her best friend from the college program lives in Oregon and has flown in twice to see Briana. I told her she needs to take some time and fly out to see her.
My in laws live in Florida, her friend can fly into Florida and so can Briana, stay at the in laws for free and head up to wdw.
I love her dearly but..... It's time to start making your own way in life. You have a good job, got some time off, go do it!!! Some birdies fly out of the nest and others need to be nudged out, I got a nudger !!! Lol

Did I mention she spent nine days in Florida between Christmas and the weekend after New Years and is going back for four more days in two weeks? All with Tammy.

They both have friends who still work at wdw and can get the discount tickets. So the only thing it will cost is air, some food and park tickets. Not to mention, makes almost as much as I do. Lol

Congrats on the villa! Mine are young enough I'm not thinking of nudging them out yet and by the time they are ready to go, I will probably need them to take care of me!

... No pictures of me being stupid thankfully. But hey, I didn't get arrested.

A motto for most of us here.

Hey, speaking of the college program, I just got word that my niece, Emily, starts her job at Once Upon a Toy tomorrow afternoon. She's there until early August, so if you're in the neighborhood, stop by and say Hi.
I'm gonna miss her, we are not going down till September. Tell her we wish her luck, have a great time and make sure she takes uncle Barry to Company D. Lol

This is what happens when dad tries to sneak a picture. Lol
The good ole nut hut!! She called home on her break one day..... The wild life don't let you alone when working in these carts and they have more rights then the cast member. Lol She called one early evening on her break, a squirrel jumped on her shoulder. Lol she wigged out!! Lol
What a lot of cps don't understand when signing on to these programs is that you are an intern. Interns do what the full time cms don't want too do at times they don't want too do them.
After the park closes and your land is cleared, she put on a safety vest and a glow stick. Lol I always thought they turn on lights in the park when it's closed...... No, they turn more off. When you close, you have to scrub the cart down, restock and clean the machines with vinegar and apple juice.
She liked closing, the park is free of guest and it's kind of spooky at times she said. Sometimes you can be the only one around and it is weird. Lol
There was always a group that would head out to Perkins for breakfast when they were done at 4am.

Aahhhh, my little girl. I can't wait till spring to get her out and clean her up again. We bought her new in 2012, has been to Disney nine times. Has 22k miles on it. We have been talking about trading her in. Not sure if I want the same thing or something different. We have had good luck with her and I always hate getting rid of a car that I have had good luck with.
I would like to get something a little bigger. Believe it or not, I like the Honda minivan and Tammy likes the new Buick Enclave. Which by the way, both those cars cost more than a new one of these. I wish it was just a bit larger. We use it to travel in and it's ok as far as space. Comfort and ride..... Nothing like anything I ever drove before. You don't hear or feel anything driving this. I also love that it can get out of its own way and fast.lol I hear it can go 120 mph without a problem with comfort, not that I ever tried it.lol
I would love to get the next size up from her but I just don't want to spend more on a car that I paid for my house 23 years ago.lol We'll keep for this year yet. I'm planning on taking her down again in September.
In this weather, I just walk by any tap her on the hood and tell her she should be glad she's in the garage.lol

Working in the mk, in her job, she got to wear a lot of different costumes. Sometimes it was a pain but she did like he change.

She did get to work at Cinderellas Royal table a few times. Bussing tables and setting tables. She loved it!!! Lol The full time servers loved her. They tried to teach her how to carry a tray full of dishes but..... She's not cut out for that work.lol She never worked in a restaurant before and one day they told her to go to costuming and head over to crt.
Oh... You also are getting a glimpse of one of many locker rooms in the tunnel. ( you didn't see that lol )
I called it a utilidor one day, got laughed at. Lol " that's for the tourist, it's the tunnel, one or know as the hole to some. Lol The break room was called " the fish bowl" lol

This was one of her favorites. That's a friend of mine that stopped to see her from another thread.
I'm surprised they left her on stage, she has white socks on. Does he look like Richard Petty in this picture or is it just me.
Nice guy!! Like a lot of them, Briana has met them but I haven't yet. We had a mutual Disney friend, another great couple, we sat for the longest time chatting in the mk. Sadly she lost her battle with cancer a few years ago. Every time we go back, walk by the seating area my the hall of presidents, Tammy and I remember Sarah. RIP Sarah, you will always be sitting there when we walk by.

My youngest is the cuddler right now, clinging to her mother. I wonder what it will be like when she is older.

You understand correctly, and I am starting to experience it a bit and have some friends who have stories that will make your toes curl.

I wish I was still on my parents' payroll. Or, you could adopt me and put me on the payroll. :lmao:

Whoops! Darn kids. I keep yelling at them, but they never listen.
They leave the lights on all over the house too.

Netflix and chill.

Morning all.

See Zerf is still posting away; loving the trip down memory lane. :thumbsup2

Another day and I can't shake a stupid head cold, feels like it could explode at anytime.

Thought I would go way back for TBT, this is from grade 4 I think.

Mine are 11, 9 and 3. I've been thinking about nudging them out for a while now...

Unfortunatly, I won't be down there until late August, so I'll miss her as well. I've never been to Company D, but I have been to Cast Connection a few times. :rolleyes1

Well, when I first saw the picture, my first impression was "holy crap it's the King!", I'd say yes. But then I realized he was wearing a baseball cap not not a 10 gallon Stetson, so I figured it probably wasn't.

That was one of the best Futurama episodes.

Tonight is "International Night" at my kids' school. Each class room researched a different country and has a presentation on the food, culture, etc of that country. I asked my wife if it was going to be anything like World Showcase.
"Yes, except for the rides, the booze, the gift shops and Illuminations."

Well, I guess that's ok. As long as there will be cronuts and the LeCellier fillet.
