Disney Gift Card Deals

I was able to get some unexpected Disney gift cards last night...

We purchased a macbook for our daughter last year and earned a bunch of best buy reward bucks. We had $190 expiring and really didn't know what to get with them. I hate just spending them just to be spending them, but we were out of time.

Anyway, I noticed they stated that they were not good on Best Buy gift cards, but I asked and you can use them on any other gift cards. So, we got $200 of Disney gift cards for $10 after redeeming our $190 Best Buy reward dollars.

Right when we were checking out, I saw Ebay gift cards by the registers, but she had already started our transaction, and I hated to interrupt it. But, that would also be an option to get Ebay to churn for Disney.

Is anyone else having a problem logging into target? I have gotten an error yesterday and today.

No, I just purchased some Starbucks egift cards like 30mins ago without any problems. Maybe clear cookies and try again?

That's great! My best buy had some Disney gift cards around the holidays. I had some best buy rewards I wanted to use for them, but when I went in last week they didn't have them anymore and was told they only carry them around the holidays.

That's too bad. Our store had a lot, but maybe they were still left over from Christmas.

I have a shopping trip from eBay on my Ebates from yesterday. This morning I checked and I have no pending cash back. I submitted a ticket, provided all of the necessary info that they asked for, and then was told I won't be getting any ebates for the portion of my purchase made using a gift card. Ugh. :( :faint:

@Minniekins Thank you for your post. My feelings exactly but you said what I could not figure out how to put into words.

We all need to relax and have a little gentleness with each other. We all have the same end goal and same love for Disney.

Aw, thank you so much, wendow! I was a bit worried that I'd be flamed for being being too vocal or long, so it's nice to read your supportive comments! :goodvibes

And you're right, this should be a friendly place. I mean, it's Disney and we all expect that Disney friendliness when we go to our fave place, why wouldn't we share that feeling here as well? We shouldn't have to feel it's gonna be tense here if we post helpful info or ask or answer a question. If we can't do that, no point to be here, might as well do things on our own. That is the reason we are in this thread in the first place, and as you say, all with the same goal of saving for and love for Disney!

I ordered (2) $150 target gc and (1) $50 target gc from GCM on 1/30. The $50 showed shipped USPS earlier in the week but nothing has ever said the $150 ones were shipped. Today in the US mail, all 3 were delivered in one package. There is no UPS sticker of any sort and it appears the package shipped 100% through US mail. They were just delivered into our mailbox at the street and I was not asked to sign for them.

Yes, my order from GCM arrived via USPS for the first time for this high an amount ($450) and no signature required either. I signed up for txt notifications from USPS on the transit status of the package, so I was prepared and home when it did arrive. It made me feel a little less secure, though - while both companies have a few bad apples that may not be altogether trustworthy, I feel my odds are better with UPS.

How do you do that? I would prefer to at least know if they're delivered.

I went to my eBay page, got the tracking # for the order, then went to the USPS site to track it. There was an option to receive updates on shipping status via txt, so I entered my phone #.

I had $1500 worth of Target from GCM that was delivered by UPS two days ago. But it makes me very nervous to hear they are shipping some higher amounts via USPS. Our mail guy is NOTORIOUS for delivering our mail to other people (he is like 75yo with 'coke bottle' glasses). And we have open mail boxes in a neighborhood where mail theft is a known problem. I have been considering a locking mailbox for quite awhile. It just might be time to bite the bullet.

Quick question.....those of you that churn Target, ebay, to Target, etc. Do you leave your gift cards sitting in Target's website or ebay's? I just got gc from GCM and don't know if I should go ahead and log them into Target and purchase eBay ones or leave them sit in Target. What do you find works better for you?

If I have "clean" cards, ie from GCM or kroger (which I think are technically GCM cards too), where I see a low risk of being drained, then I keep them loaded in Target. If I have a card from a reseller, I am going to turn that into something clean and quickly and easily as I can. Since I am at my paypal/ebay gc limit for a while, I also have a stockpile of ebay cards that I keep in my safe until I can start using those again.

I'm down to only using clean gc. It makes me feel better to do that so I'm not adding anything unless I find I have to.

To clarify....ebay totals are $5000 per 6 months. And that's a rolling 6 months, correct? And that is the face value of the gc you purchase? I have only purchased $350 from GCM at this point but want to make sure I understand first. I will be a "small" churner because my stomach can't handle the large figures like some are doing. I'm too big a nervous Nelly but I still want to make sure I know the rules.

It is a rolling 6 months for $5000 eBay gift card redeemed for verified accounts. So every time you use an eBay GC towards a purchase

You can technically buy GC on eBay with your own funds without hitting you $5000 limit.

There were some people who reported having their Target mobile gift cards drained from their account. These were ones they bought on the one-day sale in December when Target gift cards were 10% off. Since then, I have been too nervous to store mine in the Target app. I just have a safe place in my house where I keep them until I am ready to use. I am pretty much only using 'clean' gift cards at this point too (either from GCM or Kroger).

I like to roll mine right back to eBay. That way when the eBay bucks promo comes out I am good to go. Often times GCM sells out so if you don't have the eBay cards ready you might miss out waiting for them to process and get activated by Target.
