I'm afraid of the dark, but the dark aspect of Stitch didn't scare me. I don't really remember the shoulder harness bothering me, though I can see how it could be an issue. I found the humor to be grosser than it was in the movie, which is a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. :)

If you think one of those things (the dark, the shoulder harness, the type of humor) would bother you, then I would advise you to pass.

In general, though, I don't think you should put too much emphasis on other people's reviews. Opinions of rides and attractions are so subjective! :)

Go once so you'll know you never ever have to do this ride again...I mean if they day is long and theirs time you can experience the worst ride ever first hand!

I rode it once. Just because I figure I've been there enough now that every trip I should at least try one ride/attraction I haven't before. I'm at the point where I'm really going to have to try Dumbo LOL. I didn't hate it, but it certainly isn't one that I will ride again. It was kind of up there with Circle of Life and Mission Space Orange. One and Done.

I wanted to ride it because it's one of the few Disneyland doesn't have and I've ridden all those hundreds of times. Like others, it's time in my life I wish I could have back. And despite there not being a line, because a large group goes in together and you may have to wait until the next group, so you may still be standing a while between that and the pre-show. I also was thinking people were exaggerating about the shoulder harnesses since I've never had a problem with a Disney one. Well, first problem ever. Just ow. Since it was our last unseen section of MK after a long week, I think I was more bitter about the standing than anything else. I just left thinking… why is this still here? Even without the harnesses and waiting, it was by far the most boring Disney attraction I've EVER experienced.

I consider Stitch more of an experience than a ride since it doesn't actually move you anywhere. I think it is cute. ooohhhhhh Cinderella, your prince is here!

As I have been researching for my first, and possible only, trip to WDW I've read lots of reviews on Stitch's Great Escape. While most of them are negative, some people like it or say it's so bad it's good.

My plan at the moment is to ride it if I have time after riding everything I am really excited about, but is it even worth it? Would it be a better use of time to re-ride something else or go shopping or...?

I'm looking for lots of different opinions, so please share your thoughts :)
I did Stitch once in 2014 because I had a lot of time on my hands. It wasn't interesting but it wasn't terrible. It's a way to get indoors for a few minutes if it's raining or too hot. But yes, you could also shop or re-ride something else.

If you don't ride it, you can't complain about it with any credibility.

Exactly - how to form an opinion on something you've never experienced? Kind of like dissing the President when you've never voted. Or, complaining you haven't won the lottery and you've never bought a ticket. Opinions are like something else and everyone has one but no two are the same.

run fast, don't even look and no line on a crowded day means something...
Stitch doesn't have a line as in standard queue. It is done in bulk. What that means is it could have had 100 people standing there until just before you came around the corner and saw no one. Everyone goes in at once. There are actually very few rides or attractions that can have their quality determined by the length of the line. It all depends on the capacity of each individual attraction.

As for the rest of you that are so convinced that once they see it they will know not to see it again, all I can say is I have been going to WDW for 33 years now and I have been to Stitch at least 10 times. I have yet to be hurting from the shoulder restraint (maybe I'm not as tender as some of you), I am not disgusted by a fake chili burp smell or the sneeze water. Why? Because I'm a grown up and know that it's just a show. Fake smells and a couple of drops of water are nothing that I fear.

The only part I like is when Stitch sniffs in your ear (because I have a thing for sniffing sounds). I would like to skip it the next time I go. (I'd rather see the Country Bears instead, but we've been skipping that show recently.)
