Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

We just returned from Disney World today. We stayed at CSR. Loved it!

We were in room 4147, in Casitas. Wasn't a bad walk to and from the main building.

I liked Pepper Market. The last time I stayed there (many years ago), I didn't like PM at all, but it's changed, and I really liked it this time.

Our room was near the quiet pool. I did walk over to the Dig one day, and it looked really cool.

Housekeeping was good.

Busses were good. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus.

I was very surprised that the parks didn't seem insanely crowed. Crowded, yes, but not insane. At least this was my experience during the times we visited the parks.

The weather was absolutely PERFECT! Around 80 and mostly sunny every day, and only a tiny bit of rain. It rained one day for about 5 minutes, and that's it.

It was a great trip!

We check in next Wednesday and its out r first stay at CSR. We have a 2 year old and an infant. I need to add our room requests. I'd like to be close to the main building and the bus. We are in a standard room. What buildings would be the best to request?

Looking at the list of 2016 Dining plan, I don't see Pepper Market listed in the QS or TS locations. I thought all resorts has at least a QS & TS places that accepts the DDP. Anyone know what's going on here? Thanks.

The Pepper Market is definitely included. When next year's Dining Plan list is first released, it is often missing some restaurants. It takes time before the list is complete.

Thanks for the reply. I would think that with 2016 just a month away, this list would be complete.

I know, right? I don't know why this always happens. Epcot is the worst with so many restaurants never listed right away for next year's dining plan, but they all do end up returning to the list. Some of it has to do with restaurants that are not owned by Disney, taking longer to sign on the dotted line (i.e. Disney Springs restaurants).

It may have to do with the restaurants that aren't owned by Disney. Some are operated by another company. No worries, they will be on the DDP.

just booked our first stay at Coronado for June 2016. We have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside twice and Caribbean beach once.. Excited to try a new resort!

Just back quick review:

Resort is beautiful!
CM's some of the best we've experienced. Not a disappointing one!
Bus service = exceptional! Maybe waited 20 mins once? That was for MVMCP night and I don't consider that a very long wait.
Housekeeping was very good. Rooms were clean and attractive (bathrooms could use updating, but maybe I felt that way because we stayed two nights at Hilton bonnet creek first?) either way, love the dividing doors, fantastic water pressure.
Pools - didn't get a chance to use quiet pool other than lounging by it with my DD who wasn't feeling well our last day, but looked nice. Main pool we all give a big thumbs up!!
As i mentioned we stayed at Hilton Bonnet creek just before and they have a similar water slide that we all enjoyed, but CSR's water slide was even better!
My only negative was the food court. We were there for both very slow and busy times. The food I had at Mexican station was very good, the burgers were fine and my kids ate the pizza.
Our complaint was how slow the service was, on the busy night it was truly bad. They seemed confused and overwhelmed. My girls waited no less than 20 minutes for their kids pizza - I watched multiple wrong orders come up with corrections needing made as i waited for the grill station.
Even the slow nights for a food court they were extremely slow with the food. Maybe not a big deal if 2 of you are ordering together but trying to have a meal with a family of 6, you don't get to eat together.

Overall fantastic resort though!

Is anyone there now? I will be arriving on Wednesday morning and wonder how crowded it is. I read that CSR is an overflo resort for POP and while I don't mind busy, (I know that the resorts are pretty much filled) I was a little concerned after reading so mnay negative posts about the cheers.

Anyway, in my group I am the only one who has never stayed at CSR so I am looking forward to it very much!

CSR is crowded at this time due to the Chess convention, NCA/NDA cheerleaders, and Pop Warner. Some guests have been moved to other resorts

When do you know if you will be one of the guest moved? I honestly would not mind

You can ask to be moved. But I would be prepared to pay for the change especially if it's an upgrade. We were at CBR in February for my 40th birthday when there was a cheer competition. I didn't want to deal with the noise and other issues we experienced on the first day they arrived so I went to the lobby and asked about being moved. Please keep in mind that I was completely prepared to pay for it. We were moved that night. In fact we were in our new room (at a deluxe resort) within 2 hours of the request. There was no charge for moving resorts but I believe that may have been a little pixie dust for my birthday.
