Sounds like a great first day plan
I'm not a terribly long drive from Disney, only 5-6 hours, depending on traffic. (I've made it in 4.5 hours before when I was being super speedy and didn't run into any traffic jams.) It's a pr
And then proceeding down the driveway to...
Ya'll know I GOTS to go get my Christmas facepaint on!!!! (For anybody who cares, should these still be the same options when I get there, I'm leaning towards the top row, 3rd column, "Candy Cane Cutie.")
Christmas Kitty. I had to do a double take on it as it totally looks like an elf just crashed into the ladies face ; )
Yes yes yes! I fully support this! Do your planning on the downlow, if it makes you happen! What he don't know won't hurt him!Your day 1 looks great! I need to start figuring out our days, of course we aren't up to FP+ yet, and my husband would call me insane for figuring it out, so maybe I'll figure it out and just not tell him!
I promise to take tons of pics, just for you, Lori!Oooo---AoA! I promised my BFF that wouldn't stay there until we go together. I'll be SO excited to see all your pictures while I bide my time until I can see it for real!
Good, you can adopt me since I'll fit in so well!Yes! Candy cane cutie is perfect! Love it! I love that you love getting your face painted. I can't handle stuff on my face, but you'd fit right in with our face paint loving girls!
Yaaasssss! So excited! I'm so looking forward to staying there. Speaking of reading, are you ever going to continue you May TR, girl?Billie!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously cannot believe how close this trip is! Your FP selections are awesome! And your magic band skins I'm super jelly of! Day 1 plans sound amazing!!! I wandered over to AoA back in May from Pop - I only wished I had actually eaten there That resort is just so impressive - I can't wait to read about your experience there. Less than 60 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Normally I love my sedate boring quiet single life... Except for when I'm counting down to an approaching Disney vacation. Then I'm kinda jealous of ya'll with busy families and lives and stuff to make the time pass faster!!I love how close your trip is getting because that just means mine is that much closer...LOL! I can't believe I'm 37 days away at this point because Keith and I started talking about doing this trip back in April of last year! I think I might be approaching the officially freak out time before the trip. I looked at the calendar and between the kids' schedule and everything we are crazy busy...guess it's good it just gets the trip here sooner.
They do! I just happened to find a pic of the holiday options and that's what I'm going to want during MVMCP. They offer lots of non-Holiday ones too, though!!!Ok I never thought I would be asking this question, but do they offer non-holiday themed facepainting too? Not seeing many options for boys but if I could find DS something he'll like well then I might as well get a crystal snowflake too...
Thanks! Just hope it all comes together!Sounds like a great first day plan
Hi there! There's no FP after 6:30pm on a party night. That's why I had to do all three of mine for 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30 respectively. Try to squeeze them in before the cut off!!Just joining in. Your first day plans look amazing. I love that you can use FP before the party officially starts. Do you know if you can get FP during a party? I really hope you can get on SDMT. The face painting is super cute. I never knew you could do that. The Candy Cane Cutie is a perfect choice. Sounds like a busy first day.
I hope they work out as perfectly as I've planned them!Your plans sound like perfection, of course!
Eeeek, yeah, I'm really worried about this. When I first planned this it was supposed to be just me and I planned on being on the road by 5am, or maybe even doing my thing where I drive down the night before and crash in Kississimee so I'm not so rushed the next day. But I don't want to ask them to do either of those things. So hopefully it all works out!Fingers crossed everyone is on time and the traffic gods are kind to you!
Maaaaaan, I'm a pasta girl. I'm so ooking forward to that MYO pasta station! Yum!Yum, LOF never disappointed! The MYO pasta station and burgers were always good!
You can have it! I'm not a fan!
That's cool. While you're riding that, I'll run and get my face painted. But I promise I won't make you ride it with me if we're at MK together next October!!
If I were alone I would do more character meets, I think my fam will be more interested in short lines for attractions, though. Which is fine by me!It sounds like a great plan for the rest of the Christmas festivities. I'm looking forward to the short lines! We loved the dance parties last year so I"m hoping to hit those too. And a few character meets too...those 5 hours will go by fast!
Coming up tomorrow!!!Excited to read about Day 2!
Thank you!!! Last trip was on a Saturday night, where as this is Friday early afternoon. I HOPE that makes a difference!Fingers crossed you won't run into traffic issues like your last trip!
I toured it from the Pop-side last time, so it will be exciting to pull down the driveway like a REAL honest-to-goodness guest there!I loved rolling up to AoA! So exciting!!!
Hahaha, it's the cutest!!!I looked at all the choices before I finished reading this paragraph and totally picked the Candy Cane Cutie out for you! Yep, that's Billie for sure!
Not fast enough! Come onnnnnnn, November!Your first day plans look terrific! There's nothing like kicking off a trip with a holiday party! So excited for you!! October is flying by!
I hope we get on the road as planned, too! I got no time to waste on DISNEY DAY!!!!The face painting looks like fun. I think either choice the candy cane or holly are both great. I am an early morning person. I like to get going sooner rather than later. Hopefully you will get on the road as planned. This will definitely be a busy day.
Gosh, that pot roast man n cheese has been on my Must Eat list for over a year now! I hope that I finally get my mouth on it! Om nom nom!AH! First day plans look great! I really hope you get in your ride of 7DMT! Ummm Pot Roast Mac and Cheese, YUM! I may have to add that to my list of foods to try, sounds YUMMY!
Because I'm BORED and I'm OBSESSED.I love that you make such good detailed plans for your days!
My bank account is the ONLY thing that stops me from going more often than I do! Stupid MONEY.So jealous you are that close to Disney!!!! Of course my bank account would hate me if I could make it that fast ; )
Seems totally legit to me.Our best friends are going to be moving to Savannah soon, so some flights to there and then a drive to Orlando may just get me more of them and Disney ; )
It's going to KILL me. Honestly, a big part of me is hoping that the rooms aren't even ready yet, so I don't have to fight to urge to go check them out.Your first day plans sound great and I must admit I admire your restraint in not going to see the room right away.
Yeeeeaaaauh. That one's a little too intense, even for me.And on the face painting i totally vote for the Christmas Kitty. I had to do a double take on it as it totally looks like an elf just crashed into the ladies face ; )
Exactly! But I have a feeling we'll make it on at some point. If not, no big deal.Great FP Selections! I'm sad you didn't get 7DMT, but I guess that's just more reason for your aunt and uncle to return in the future, right?
Yes! You can add as many bands to your account as you like, and they'll work interchangeably! It's my understanding though that the long-range battery (for ride photos, etc) only works for about a year, so I retire mine after 12 months.I love your new magic band design! It has a tropical feeling which I love! I didn't know you could use more than one magic band during a trip. Do they all have to be activated?
Oh, it absolutely does! Cruising under that arch is like drinking coffee made from red bull instead of water.Wow your first day is packed! I hope you all have enough energy after the drive down! But I guess arriving at Disney brings you endless energy, at least for me. It just revives me after I pass through the WDW gates!
Thanks!!! I hope it's still an option this year!I like the Candy cane face paint!! I think it's really cute.
You and me both. Maybe I should being my earbuds with me and try to covertly slip them on during the right and queue up some different music to listen to. I wonder if my aunt would notice...Hope you survive it's a small world!
Yaaasssss! So excited! I'm so looking forward to staying there. Speaking of reading, are you ever going to continue you May TR, girl?
Yes yes yes! I fully support this! Do your planning on the downlow, if it makes you happen! What he don't know won't hurt him!
The prices are on that picture I posted, to give you an idea! There's a slight variance in pricing based on the complexity of the design, but the average seems to be about $18. I always budget and bring $20 for each Facepainting session that I plan on doing.OH my yes!! So many fun things planned! I really love your first day a lot. I've not looked at Friar Nook's, so will have to do that. Ahhh, face painting... I may need to do some pricing on that too. Might be fun for our party night.
The only thing I got out of this post was OMG YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEY FOR A DAY NEXT MONTH?!?!? SAY WHAAAAT!?!?!Oh, that little thing... I would love to. But I'm having a hard time getting re-motivated. I'm actually spending ONE day at Disney next month (Epcot only) on a visit to see my dad who lives in the Tampa area. I thought that I'd do a mini-TR and see if that will get me inspired to re-start my May TR! Sound like a plan?!
Now you're catching on. Just wait until you start packing in secret, too...I have done travel day. The first park day will be a bit harder since I don't know what FP+ we will have yet, but I guess I can always do it and revise, mwhaha....
