One Man's Dream?
That's the Meet and Greet but it's not from One Man's Dream. There never was a meet and greet in One Man's Dream. Where is this:

Fair parade this morning...DGD's dance group ready to walk the 2 miles to the fair grounds:
Parade theme was the 80's and assistant dance teacher dressed the part

But THEN
...DH gets a phone call from the police...drunk driver has crashed into one of his trucks, taken out some of my shrubbery, totally destroyed our BRICK/Concrete mailbox, leveled the newspaper box, his driver side front tire has flown across our yard and he's skidded across our driveway 
...this is what greets us when we drive up:
I get out of the car and head straight for the police car where the *** is handcuffed and locked in the back seat when one of the officers calmly tells me to "go into the house and get a cup of coffee"

BFF comes and we "mourn" the loss of our bush....long story but many memories associated with "our singing bush"
:
Never a dull moment for us....

That is too bad about the drunk driver hitting your tree! Was it an illegal alien? At least it didn't get to your house. Good think you had that tree to stop him! Glad the police got him!

So sorry.
Glad you and your family weren't hurt. I don't think the punishment is severe enough for drunk drivers.

So sorry.
I'm still so furious but thankful as well. Neighborhood kids ride their bikes on our street ALL the time...what if?
I have absolutely NO "patience" for drunk drivers...NONE...and DH & I will both give our opinions of him at his sentencing. The police officer told us he has "been down this path" before; apparently he was no stranger to "the law" (had both City of Bellville and Austin County Sheriff Deputy here). Denise...I don't think he was "illegal"; last name is "White". The neighbors across the street weren't going to let him go anywhere before the police got here AND his front wheel was laying on the opposite side of the yard 
; he couldn't have driven away if he'd wanted to and he wouldn't have staggered far either. Yes Jeff...usually a good time at the county fair and often this is the result...but at 10 IN THE MORNING!
